Any Experience with the Beeman AR2078A ?

Anyone willing to share your experience with the Beeman AR2078A CO2 rifle? I just ordered one up in .22 and am hoping for tips and tricks from fellow AGN members. This is the first CO2 rifle I've ever owned, bought for use on my 10m indoor range (i.e. my garage) in the long Winter months of Northern Indiana. I've had CO2 pistols before and know a little about their feeding and care (Pellgun oil drops, clearing the CO2 out before storage) but there's always more to learn. Tips on 10m shooting are also welcome.

I have an older AR2078B. You don't need to remove the CO2 carts for storage with that kind of gun, and it harms nothing. Tuning/upgrade parts are available from Archer Airguns. Perhaps the most important thing for accuracy is trigger technique, as there is no recoil, and they're not hold sensitive. If you choose to mount a scope, use high rings, or loading a pellet can be tricky. Good luck and have fun. RC

RC's correct about storage , just put it away anytime you like. Personally greatly prefer NOT to store one empty, seems better to have some psi on the seal.

Clean barrel first! Sure, applies to any rig but with a new QB series rifle, CLEAN 1st.

Adjust trigger - it will need it and will be nice afterwards. I personally do not like the pseudo 2 stage trigger with the spring loaded wiggly blade but rather the standard QB78 solid trigger blade. Both respond well to the "QB78 plunger screw mod" , just google that one.

Now the ugly ( no worries tho) it might well be a nice idea to go ahead and remove the factory installed fur ball in the valve, do it now or later when it clogs the valve.

flyingdragon airrifle still offers parts if needed.
