Any Artemis P15 owners out there. Please chime in ...

I have a P15 in .25. At 35yrds the fliers showed up. At 50yrds it was worse. Pulled the barrel and took it to my gunsmith. He said the crown looked like it was done with a drill bit. With the new crown the groups tightened but I still had 3 fliers out of 8 shots. I decided to use an allen wrench to seat my pellets about 1/8" deeper than my probe does. Bingo, very good accuracy but I am not interested in a single shot that takes me extra time to load. So I bought a TJ barrel and sent it off to be reborn. The gun has potential but I am a little concerned now that Diana is involved. I am concerned that if we need a part, the original P15 guys might be left out in the cold.

I don't think so, SPA is still the rightful owner of the Artemis rifles, the German company just got in as an European partner with rights to slightly modify some of it, like trigger, stock etc, The Diana came up with some really nice stocks for it but the trigger I wouldn't know, my suppose to have as my call "Stinger" supposedly made by Diana (don't quote on that).

I have P15 i .22 and i love this little baby. I made some modifications (new shroud baffles, longer but stock, biathlon lever, huma regulator and i designed new magazines because i did not like original ones. Scope is MTC Viper Connect 3-12x24 and fits beautifully on this rifle. You can see shooting at 50 meter in video and new magazines i made (they are only 7 pellets but much easier to load and no flyers.

I have a .25 that i have been trying to get to ggroup. At 30 yards it throws lead all over a10 inch target . i have tried 4 different brand pellets had the barrel off several times and cleaned it .pushed pellets through the barrel to see if it is clipping them .

It has also been back to krale once they said they polished the crown didnt help. I have even tried adjusting the regulator up and down a little at a time and the hammer spring still no improvement .it shoots 804 805 over the chrony , that the best i have gotten out of it so far .

And have also checked to see how deep the pellet was seated as in the above post.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know its not going to shoot like my cricket but i know it will do better than what it is doing i mean if i wanted a shotgun i would just drag out the super x 3

I have shot the rifle without the shroud off and get the same results.

And i can feel a tight spot when pushing pellets through the barrel from the breech about 6 inches down before you can feel it loosen up a little.

That's your issue with it, as jarmstrong said "barrel lottery", some guys down here in SA had the same problem, their guns couldn't shoot straight, they changed the barrel and solve the problem, also check the reg (another lottery) the stock reg sometimes don't perform as it should, have you try to remove it and shoot without it?.

I think there is a shop in the UK that sells P15 barrels (do the search), maybe try to change it.

In my case my P15 in .22 cal shoots like dream out of the box with any pellets (besides the really cheapos no brand ones), but as you said that there is a inconsistency when you push the pellet through down the barrel most probably that's the fault.

In some cases also, some barrel has a lots of burr on the port which deform the pellets causing inaccuracy.

How's the new mags test's going? any issues with it so far?

They are working perfectly (shooting in video is from the magazines) . I will finish . 177 version in few days (waiting for spring wire) and i will send them to few people to test them .

If you ever make them in .25 and decide to sell them, I will buy 2. I haven't messed with the ones that came with the gun much. My gun had other issues. I did notice they seemed very tight when chambering a pellet. Switched to single shot tray until I get gun lined out.

I have one in.22. Had to replace the barrel which was terrible beyond words and do a bit of work on the reg, but that being said, once those were sorted it's a fantastic and laser accurate little gun. Got a huma on the way just in case (sitting in postal hell for months now- SA post is useless). I wrote about the barrel etc on an earlier, similar thread.

One other thing that may be an issue is the very short length of pull, but you likely know all about that having had one for a bit before. Easily sorted out.

Which replacement barrel did you use?

I'm looking for an LW barrel but on the German website i can't find any airrifle barrel blank with the same outside diameter as the P15 barrel. My P15 .25 barrel's OD is 13mm. LW barrel's are 12/15/16mm.
