Any Airgunners in East Tn?

I didn't see you listed on the members map
http://airgunnation.dev/topic/global-member-map/

naturally there are more airgun folks around. I'm in Liberty and have met ( from all over ) over 200 airgun shooters from shooting Field Target at the GOB in Pulaski and Invicta in Minor Hill. I know of a couple of folks in Blount county come out for shoots from time to time.

Put yourself up on the map , and , get to a match excellent way to meet people and learn.

You have timing and luck. According to a coworker the Oak Ridge Sportsman Association is starting a bench rest shoot the first and 4th Saturday of the month at 10am at the indoor range. Supposedly anything goes, open sights, scope, just has to be .177 shooting at reduced 300 and 600 yard targets. Cost is $2 per round and they provide the targets

Yup, I'm close to Knoxville.

I live in Lenoir City and have been looking at the Oak Ridge Sportsman's web site recently. Not a member (yet) but may join at some point. I have been looking for a local club or someplace that holds bench rest competition. Most all of my air rifles are .22 or larger though, the only .177's I have are inexpensive springers that aren't very accurate.

I found a PDF of the newsletter. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://orsaonline.org/file.asp%3FID%3D156&ved=0ahUKEwinm-Tw9p_LAhUFeT4KHULsDmQQFggbMAA&usg=AFQjCNFAE8IHX0Fe8MzgwRwSfs_OYECchg&sig2=Pna5BesZVQUriDp14Hbq8g. I hope that link works

I never joined ORSA since for the most part I couldn't get out there other than a Saturday but I can 10meter in my basement or 50yard in the yard with an air rifle. My eyes suck. I plan to at least watch the match Sat, maybe bring a .177 and get schooled. I might learn something. Lol

I put a Leapers scope on the only .177 rifle I own (an inexpensive Remington springer) and sighted it as best I could in my basement yesterday. Took it outside and managed to hit a 2 inch spinner 3 out of 4 shots at 40 yards, resting only on the railing around my porch. So, I may just head to Oak Ridge this Saturday myself. If I decide to enter the bench rest shoot, my expectations will be low with this gun. Like TedV said, I can still be schooled at the least.
