Another Proud WildCat Mk II owner!

My boy’s WildCat Mk II (.25 cal) arrived last night, and he couldn’t be any more thrilled! Soon to mount the Pic rail for the bipod, but its all sightwd in now, and super quiet. This thing packs a punch!

Special thanks to Ken (Salticon) at SPAW weapons for making this one happen for me! Visit him at www.spaweapons.com to see what he has in stock (he has other Mk II Wildcats too).

Here’s my boy with his new weapon:

Congrats to your son. He looks pleased with his new Wildcat and if it shoots anything like mine dad better watch out he will become your number one competitor not that he probably isn’t already, the Wildcat is awesome and as his 1st airgun it’s even more awesome, I wish him good luck on his new adventure and showing dad up hahaha now you’ll have to watch out for the other one.

I see he has a iPhone/cell phone so you can get him started on the Chairgun app and then he can upgrade to Strelok/Strelok Pro when he earns a few extra bucks. It’s just the beginning for him Bwaaaahahahaha.

Let us know how the 6-24 x 56 Hawke works out for you with the Wildcat.

Will do. I've been using it for months on my RAW HM1000x (switched from Athlon Argos) and have loved it. Much better eyebox than the Athlons, plus better optics overall (and sidewheel range marks are actually pretty close to being spot on for parallax correction). I've written a whole review of the scope and posted it (in a comparison form) in the Optics forum if you would like to read more...

Thanks Jim-I'm hoping he does become my main competitor, it will help up both of our games. Actually, this is his 3rd airgun (a MAJOR point of contention with his younger sister-believe me!), but really the first serious airgun (though the AA S200 was a nice gun too). He does have the Chairgun app and knows how to use it-however, I've resorted to picking up a FFP scope for him to learn how to read his reticle and dial in the needed tweaks without resorting to using external apps. Despite the scope being a bit more money, I really want to teach my kids how to shoot 'for real' rather than being tied to apps-I've resorted to the same for myself too. The one concession I'll allow is to have a custom printed range card attached to the gun for reference based on range (range vs. MIL). If the snipers can do it without apps, then we're going to learn how as well-I want my kids to KNOW how to shoot, compensate, etc so they truly understand what is going on and can adjust as the situation requires.
