A chipmunk? I’ve read about them. What in particular do they do in your area that is troublesome? We don’t have them where I live.

They dig burrows and all sorts of tunnels around every stone wall and will do the same to the foundation of your home.
They will also infiltrate your parked vehicles and cause all sorts of problems there as well.

Exactly what Will wrote. They cause all kinds of problems and that's why they are one of the few year round allowed to be hunted in MA. Just about everything else has to be in season but not chipmunks , red squirrels, weasels, skunks, porcupine, English sparrow, starlings, flying squirrels and woodchucks.

Burrowing is bad enough, but the car thing is a sure-fire way to get shot to poop on sight!! We have field mice that do that when it gets cold. They reek havoc on automotive electrical systems. I can better understand your frustration with that in mind. Dealing with them sounds like a real PITA.

YIKES!!! Didn't know about these things getting into cars, car electricals are incredibly expensive. Harness replace will easily set anyone back a couple of grand and more, I've heard expensive German cars are basically totaled once that happens.
