Another FX Wildcat broke trigger

"cootertwo"The little "L" piece, apparently made of aluminum, breaks at the weak point, where they made a cut-away for the spring. Can be easily done by pulling the trigger, with the safety on. I have requested parts from FX and AOA, we'll see. Will try to fabricate one in the mean time. ;(
Firstly, sorry for your loss. But seriously, thanks for the info!!

Thanks for sharing Cooter, I thought I'd seen a post on this same subject earlier and I see that you found it. My wife's cousin and her husband came to visit a couple of years ago. I was going to let him shoot my Vulcan Tac. I told him it had a very light 8oz trigger with no second stage. He sat down behind the un-cocked gun looked through the scope and tried pulling the trigger. I thought maybe he was just getting lined up and settled in before cocking the bolt, nope he was actually trying to pull the trigger. After it wouldn't fire because it wasn't cocked he apparently pulled even harder on a 8oz trigger. The dumb butt pulled so hard he pulled one of the threaded trigger linkage rods out of a clevis.
Just saying this because anything can break on these sophisticated guns if you try hard enough.

I wound up making the little "L" piece. Cut it out of a piece of steel plate, with my dremel tool. Hardest part was drilling the 2 little holes, and getting them in the exact right place. Finished off with small files and polishing wheels. Works better than new! Also discovered mine does not need the little spring behind the "L" piece. Trigger has slop when not cocked, but all slop gone and normal when cocked. I am a bit disappointed in my Swiss (Sweedish) watch!
