An Exercise For " High End Gun " Snobs Like Me ....

I received the gun this past Saturday, Great Job shout out goes to Straight Shooters for doing it the way they always do, Ship FAST !!
Unpacked it , gave it a good look over , just a good, general inspection . I have to say this particular gun was Right and Tight .
1st step : Clean the Barrel, it did have the normal factory " goop " , ran 2 wet " Ballistol " patches , followed by 3 dry , the barrel cleaned right up .
2nd step : mounted up a 4x14x44ffp Primary Arms scope on top of FX No-Limit rings, half ass zeroed on paper in the garage for chrony testing
3rd step : filled it 4000psi , added a mag full of jsb 18.13's , fired it across the chrony , ten shot with the Regulator at 2300 ( that's how it came from the factory ) , She was a little hot averaging 915 fps Decided to adjust the hammer spring , after several small adjustments i git averaging 905fps . The gun still felt a little " bound up " .
4th step : Adjusted Regulator pressure, drained the gun as per instructions, ran the reg screw all the in as per instructions , then backed it out 1/4 turn , again as per instructions. Refilled the gun to 4000psi and the reg was sitting at 1500ish , slowly opened up the reg screw until it hit 1900psi , loaded up some mags and did round 2 on the chrony , after a few shots to settle the reg i started averaging and was happy to see 875ish, just tweaked on the hammer spring screw and got the average down 860 , the gun really " freed up " and had a nice , crisp snap to it..
5th step : Tried to do some outdoor 45yard stuff but the damn rain was relentless yesterday, i did manage to zero the scope at that range but that was it . This morning got a small break in the rain so i ran 4 mags through it @ 45 yds , i have to say i am Damned Impressed , i ain't walking down the hill in that swamp to stick a mic on it but through the scope its a 10 shot per mag ragged hole on 4 separate targets...
Much ,Much more to come as i get more time with it, all in all it's winner to this point .
* NOTE * : I did add a DonnyFL thread adapter unit , nice piece , and added a 0db Moderator, the gun is a little " Snarky " from the factory , it is Borderline backyard friendly , add the 0db and she shut right up ....
