Ammo question

If there is such a thing as a shortage it's definitely not your fellow shooters fault. That's just silly and negative, know that many, many other shooters love shooting JSBs. I know I do, they are my preferred pellet, because they have proven to be consistently accurate in my Bantam. That there might be some pellet hoarders out there? OK, but they also are not responsible for the supposed pellet shortage. Being able to complain about a pellet shortage is a luxury...

I'm certainly not blaming a pellet shortage on fellow shooters. I'm merely saying, when supply is limited, it benefits us all to be reasonable in our purchases. If I have an opportunity to buy 5K of my favorite pellet, I would do it and feel fine. If the seller was willing to sell me 100K, I can easily afford to buy them, but I would not feel the same satisfaction in that purchase, knowing it might be months before he can resupply his inventory and serve other shooters.

@elh0102, it the reasonable part that can be debated. In your scenario you wouldn't buy 100K pellets from a vendor? Because, to leave some for the rest of us? So would it be reasonable for you to buy 25K from four vendors, etc.? It's just what it is, demand is high for certain pellets. We all like or love to shoot. Some of us go through thousands of pellets a year. Many new PCP shooters are discovering the same. I predict good times ahead for us air gun shooters pellet wise patience is needed across the board.

Bobby, you have nothing for which to apologize. I should not have mentioned my perspective on the issue of hoarding, as it is such a subjective topic. IMO it involves behavior much more extreme than our general membership.

Mentioned this in another thread, will again here. The silent members...lol. AGN boasts 100,000 plus members and if even a 1/4 of that number posted regularly, no one would be able to keep up. They joined for info they know they can find on from members on forums like this. You also have 10's of 1000's who don't even bother to join because they don't need to.

They can see and read every bit of the content here on AGN without ever having to log in and find out whatever it is they want to know about a given gun, scopes, mounts, bipods, you name it and you can bet part of what they're looking for is pellets. Where to get them, nowadays who even has any, the cheapest places to get them and who might have discounts they can use. They take that posted info and trot off to all the places mentioned and get or hope they can, whatever it is they're looking for and never a word is said here.
