Just curious, what is the maximum range for the far target, and what is the minimum for the near? !" to 4" killzones begs the question

Just asked the match director............25-100 yards.

This is NOT a typical 20fpe limit field target match. 100fpe limit and 100 yard limit (vs 20fpe and 55 yard limits for "regular" field target)

It will be very similar to the American Field Target event held at the Extreme Benchrest competition every fall. Many of the EBR participants have stated in the past that the American Field Target event is one of their favorites. There are youtube videos showing the event as part of EBR for anyone interested.

I really would prefer that this type of match be called "Extreme Field Target" or something like that. Why? because we have been shooting American Field Target here in the US for over thirty years with our own rules and our own scantioning body. The American Airgun Field Target Assn. ( AAFTA) is the entity I refer to.

I have absolutely no objection to anyone running a different shooting discipline but please have the courtesy to call it something other than "American Field Target"!

I have worked hard for, and prefer the American Field Target Assn.form of airgun field target( for various reasons) however I wish you the best success with your version of FT as well, but I would like to see a name change.

I think I got in on the registration in time?? Practiscore accepted my CC fee anyway.

Man I hope I can handle the 100 degree temps by the time the match ends??!! Highlander here, and it was 36 degrees at my home when I got up this morning at 6700ft elevation!

Practiscore took my payment as well, and I've since received some confirmation emails from them that I'm all signed up. So we should be good to go.

I'm super stoked for this event. That prize money literally ups the ante over our routine monthly (no prize money) 20fpe field target matches. And the long range (up to 100 yards) and higher fpe (up to 100fpe) aspect of this event will be cool new wrinkles to competition too.

Can you imagine winning more than the 75 cent Arizona pins we usually get, lol, I've got probably $40 worth. Just think how many thousands we've spent in entry fees, FT guns and scopes vs our paypack money, oh wait on second thought let's not think about that 😭😉😋😜

Since the CA state FT was moved to mid October , I decided to give this a try. It was a fun event at EBR last year. We’ll see how my little .22 Eddy R3 Long does with slugs....

Glad to hear that you'll be competing. Yeah, I'm using .22 also, although I'll be in the pellet category, and putting out a whole lot less fpe than most.

Should be a heck of a fun time.

The guy making this all come about has been putting in crazy amounts of time and effort. He's been sending me pictures and little videos and it looks like the whole competition is going to be top-notch, especially for an inaugural event like this.
