American Air Arms EVOL Mini .22 who has one

I was lucky enough to be at the top of the waiting list. Using the Evol I got to shoot hundreds of farm birds back in Arizona (almost 400 if I recall)

Since then I haven't had much time to shoot, but I can tell you that the Evol Mini is really well built, really accurate, and has a really really nice trigger. This video is time stamped to where Tom talks about the trigger

Out of the box its quite loud because Tom (owner AAA) is focussed on accuracy. He sends it with an air stripper. It's designed to strip the air away from the projectile, not suppress its bark. So if you wanna quiet down your Evol, you'll have to add an aftermarket silencer. I've been told that the AAA are really simple and reliable. I think the entire airgun only has 7 o-rings total.

Looking good Michael, the moderator does quiet the gun a bit. The moderator is designed as a system that works with the shroud and keeps the gun short. Inside the moderator is a cone that can be adjusted in and out to fine tune it. This cone is set pretty close from the factory but can be adjusted. My experience is sometimes if you move it out towards the shroud it can quiet it a little more. At 30 fpe it's pretty tame, just really solid sounding. Donny has the adapter on his site if someone wanted to add an aftermarket. This is the same moderator design as on the big brother HP models. These are very precisely made and designed to optimize the gun for accuracy. I'm really happy that you're getting some good use out of the mini. ☺️

I picked one up a few weeks ago. I'll try to get pictures up. I took it to the range a couple of weeks ago. I got almost 60 shots from a full tank, with impact dropping off at around 50 rounds, maybe less. Accuracy was phenomenal off a rest at 37 yards. Even when it ran out of gas, it still had good windage, as elevation dropped by an inch or two then almost 2.5 inches when I stopped shooting it.

I added a folding joint to the stock so it folds to the side and fits into a small to medium backpack.
