American Air Arms .357 Slayer quality?

I've shot a friend of mine on a few occasions. Very sharp looking and top notch showmanship. He turned it up a little for his liking as his is shooting 140gr mr hollows points a little over 1000fps to 900 for about 4 shots. He was able to harvest a doe this season with a very impressive double lung kill. The hollow points performed flawlessly. I was able to repeatedly shoot groups at 60yrd with holes touching. He's done the same at 100 yards. Awesome guns.

"ddransoml"Any hands-on shooting with this thing out there? Or should I just stick with .303 Wolverine Hi-Lite?

@campfussell...nirvana is nearing (inside joke).
Wow ddransoml, the addiction is strong with this one!!!!!
I'll agree with Dairboy.
Would like to have an American Arms rifle one day. Preferably one set for .25 or.30 cal. pellets instead of slugs though.

I saw one up close. Didn't get much hands on but there was a lot to like if you are after a high (ish) power PCP repeating slug shooter. They're pricey but there isn't much else that's comparable.

Most other high power slug guns are single shot enormous and heavy traditional rifles with 2 shots per fill.

I have been a little little more interested in waiting to see what their newer pellet rifles are like. The efficiency numbers they were talking about sounded very impressive and for me, high efficiency is one of the hallmarks of a great air gun maker.

I'm not sure I'll ever get my head around high power / high noise air rifles but if that is what you are after then this is the one to get imo.
