Only person I know is my father in law (SD) he’s not an airgunner though. Not even sure if he’s still doing it, I should ask him.

I’m still a Tech, haven’t been to involved since my heart attack’s and surgery’s but my call sign is KD0NSC.

I have a Kenwood TS2000 for my shack and then 3 other portable 70/2 meter for my vehicles. The only antenna I have up right now is a 2 meter on my roof, had a 6 meter up there but that is like finding a needle in a hay field as far as getting anything, but I thought I’d try, my main antanna was a Dipole 10 – 40 but with that TS2000 and on a good night I picked up 80 and even 160, it was about 20 feet on one end and 35 on the other, I bought it from a ham forum member who built them and was about half the price of a MFJ. What’s on my roof as of now. Up till last year the closest repeater to me was 20 miles now a different club put one up 9 miles away which is nice if I used my radio more.

K5TWM Amateur Extra! Kenwood TS-480 No Antenna currently :( . Need to beef up lightning protection so took it down for now. I picked up a Motorola Rohn 7N 100' free standing tower that used to belong to my old workplace that I have yet to install since it requires 15 cu yards of concrete to mount upon.

I was given a 60 foot crank up free standing antenna, it’s old and needs pulleys and new cable and a crank which isn’t to bad it’s the cement needed for the base that’s keeping me from fixing it up, I might put it up on my new property but not sure, be nice to put a directional antanna on top with a motor( don’t want to have to use guide lines) but I’m kinda liking the dipole system., get one with 40 feet of wire on one end and 80 feet on the other and then use the tower I have to get it up in the air and run it NW to SE. Is that loop still running on 160, it was running over and over, it’s two guys threatening to report each other hahaha, was a few years ago when I heard it.

I don't operate much these days, but I'm still on V and U in the car.
