    I had to replace some parts in my Altaros and I need to relubricate the shft on high pressure side, In the video they have of dissambly they sprayed a lubricant called   Coyote SILKAL 93.  What is it? I cant find anywhere in the US to purchase this lubricant. I don’t want to spray the wrong lubricant and ruin the Altators, Do any of you know what I can spray it with?

    I would think any food grade silicone spray would be fine but I’m not sure. If I were you I’d email them and ask. What went wrong with your unit? I’ve only used mine four times about an hour each time. How much have you used yours?

    My Altaros has never worked. I have contacted Altaros and they keep sending me different parts to replace. I have replaced just about everything on the high pressure side. I wish I had never purchased it.  This will be the last time I buy something that cannot not be fixed in the US by the seller. I think I have a 600.00 paper weight.

    I’m sure Altaros will stand behind it, this is the first I’ve heard of any problems. I feel for you, I hate that you’re having issues with it, hopefully you can get your money back or a replacement.

    What you mean by “never worked”? It’s too vague statement to me. Did it leak? Or not moved at all? Also this is 1st time I hear about non functional Altaros. I had mine for awhile, works, reallly slow, but reliable.

    i think everybody will benefit if you post pics of disassembly and parts replacement.

    When I say it never worked, I mean I cant get the air guage on tank to even move a little.  I connected to my other tank, that had 4000 psi in it and I lost 500 psi in thirty minutes.  I have checked every fitting in the Altaros and on my other lines and didn’t have any leaks. I have asked for a refund and all the did was to send my more parts. I contacted Paypal today and requested a refund.

    Hello,
     I do not like speaking about our customers, but i have to defend our ALTAROS name.
    MR JOHNs is lying in Many things. Let me show you how it really was and what kind of person he is.
     
    His order was made on 18.10 2016 12:44 we answered him 18.10 2016 13:40 (within one hour).
    On 19.10 2016 he spam on 3 different forums why are we not answering ( for example https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/how-to-order-the-altaros/ ) . Then he looked in spam list and find our mail .
    After few clarification invoice was sent and ( payment arrived on 20.10 )  goods was sent on 21.10 2016 ( on Friday ).
    On 25.10 2016 we got email why is his goods still on customs . Shipping time was  4 days ( 2 days was weekend ) . I answered him that normal delivery time is 2-3 weeks, but lots of time is goods delivered within 10 days.
    Two days later i send him email for sure  that his package according to tracking number started moving and it should be delivered soon.
    Then there he send many emails, most of them did not make sense ( for example „guage on my Altaros is showing 7000 psi  „, there is not any manometer with 7000 PSI on altaros booster, etc, etc.. ) and when we asked on something he simply did not answered and was still writing his thoughts.
     
    The first problem was that air escaped from pressure burst disc on the bottle, which MrJohns also wrote about here on Forum, asking Where to buy new burst disk. It is very likely that he began to disassemble the compressor On his own, while the problem was from the beginning elsewhere.
    Primarily we unsuccessfully asked 3 times to shoot video from which we can find out where the problem is. We shot these two videos for him that he knew exactly what to do (in the mail below is a link to the original store video:

    He never make this videos. Instead MrJohns use plumbers tape without being asked if it can be used.
    If someone begins to dismantle the entire compressor without our guidance , then it is very hard to find out what is wrong.
     
    28.11 2016 we wrote him:

    unfortunately it is difficult to solve the problem with the compressor when I do not get answers to my question. I can not invent a solution, when I do not know the symptom.
    Already twice I wrote to you what I need to know, and I have never once received a reply.
    Therefore, I try it once and perfectly clearly. I need that you make the same video as I did:

    Accordingly this I can decide whether there is a leak present or not, and what exactly does the compressor.
    The second thing is that it is impossible for you to do your own actions, especially when I told you that you are doing. On the photo you sent is seen plumbers tape on the outlet hose. On no part of the compressor should never be any plumbers tape or glue. All connections are tight on sealing and so it must remain. plumbers tape or glue may cause the contrary leak.
     
    Where you show loss of pressure can not leak from the high pressure section, since there is no high pressure joint. This is a section of the exhaust cooling air which may leak and are not a malfunction.
     
    The second option is to send us a compressor for as  repair or refund  with original packing with foam. Without these team panels it is very likely that the compressor will be damaged.
     
    You write that there is a lot of trouble, but do not bring them specifically. Personally I assume only one and it is too much or too little and screwed intake valve high pressure (fixture white tube). But I am definitely sure, so I need the full cooperation and data that I have mentioned. Already a few things with compressor solved on mail, but it is necessary to respond to what I ask and do what we say. Not do nothing more or nothing less.
     
    We really want to help you, but we need good cooperation from you.

    „I have asked for a refund and all the did was to send my more parts.“
    He never asked about refund we was the one who offered refund ,  because he was not cooperating and never answered on any of our questions.

    I just want to point out that all parts which we send him was on our expense.
     
    Last email which we got from MRjohns was on 16.12 2016

    . I installed the correct part in low pressure cylinder and every thing seems to be working .  I will  run Altaros today and give you report later today or tomorrow“
     
    We never got any other email from him after he wrote that everything works.
    And today we found out that he writing  lies on forums without any contact to us.
     
    Now it is up to you make picture on whole situation.

    I did think it was working but it wasn’t working. This man has had a bad attitude from the first time I started dealing with him. I had to tread carefully with him because he got made at everything I said to him. He is right about the birst disk but when I got that problem taken care of, it still didn’t work. I would never deal with this company again. I ask for a refund and he failed to mention that, in his letter to the forum. If you get one like I did , good luck.

    My experience with Altaros and everyone else as I’ve seen has been they bend over backwards to help. I was one of the first ones to get it in America. There very easy to work with and are great with customer service. I as many others would highly recommend them and the Altaros. Personally I would be getting mad too if I was dealing with someone who won’t answer questions or do simple things that they ask and instead do your own thing. I understand there’s 2 sides to every story but dealing with them personally and talking to many who have dealt with them also and yours is the only one I’ve ever heard of with an issue that im on there side here.

    My guess is that compressor  worked fine thats a reason why your burst disc on tank broke. After that you just did not noticed and simply start poking in compressor add plumber tape and i do not know what else.  (Just hypotheses, can not prove anything.)

    We sent you spare parts which you wanted to „fix it „ for free, we tried to help you as much as we could, but if you do not send us relevant  Info which we need and keep writing your guess  then we will get no where. We told you that there is no problem with sending compressor back and refund you . So refund option is still there, just write email and i will write you where and how you shoudl send it. Although I believe the majority of other vendors would not offered this option after all the lies, which you wrote about our product and company service. I am really interested what “upgrades and repairs” you did on our Altaros compressor booster without our knowledge.

    I do not think that you did, main reason why i can not say this for sure is because you answered on two different emails, lot of times without previous email history.
     
    You are first customer which have  „big problems with us and our attitude“ .
    Let users on  this forum alone to decide whether the problem was in our Compressor and our customer service or in you.

     I read all airgun forums ( at least all that can translate ) & have only heard of this one unit “having issues”. 

    It certainly did work once. Any chance you pulled the elec. plug while running ?  Do NOT do this, on/off is done with the air pressure.
     I got one of the first shipped in the US,  had a cracked gauge  lens  ( certainly due to shipping ABUSE as it was well packaged) and was instantly offered a new one, I turned it down, like to help keep cost down for others & all and the guage works.
     The unit works like a charm!

    Should anyone ever need to rebuild one it looks to be VERY simple  ( personally haven’t been inside one yet ) :

    I have a case open with Paypal. I wish I hadn’t mentioned this on the website. I knew how Michael would react. I don’t have a copy of my emails to him saying I wanted my money back. So all you see is what he wants you to see.

    I have NO Idea why you have opened a dispute with paypal. Altaros offered a refund, and you have the product.  Either you need to return the product, learn properly how to use  the unit, or are trying to scam a company. Don’t know which at this point. 

    I do know that the Altaros is a very simple unit, with very little that can go wrong. The fact that you blew the burst disk on you bottle tells me that the unit was working just fine, otherwise there would not have been the overly high pressure to do so.

    If you panicked and pulled the plug while the unit had pressure going to it, and to the bottle, you have damaged either a seal, or the sending unit. Either can cause a problem. And either is operator error. 

    The Vid’s put on youtube as to how to properly use the unit are quite complete. Not following instructions should be on you. Not the manufacturer. No matter how much you bad mouth a very honest and straightforward company, with whom many are very happy with, myself included.

    Many have a complete lack of mechanical understanding. This is a pitfall that any manufacturer must deal with in order to sell directly to the pubic.   The simple fact is, not all people will be pleased with any product, regardless of the quality. One only has to go to online reviews of ANY product to learn this if not already known. It truly is a confusing eye opener.

    PCP’s are an inherently dangerous hobby for the unskilled, or non mechanically inclined. 

    Rudeness, and blame throwing are in many ways, just as bad. For a Company, either are very dangerous.

    I feel from your writings, that Altaros has bent over backwards to fix a situation that you yourself caused. 

    One would think it would be wise, and proper to revisit your actions with the Unit, as well as the manner in which you have openly conducted business with a reputable company.

    Slander leaves a  bad taste in most peoples mouths.

    I will offer this one tip to possibly help in your issue with the unit. It is possible that when the burst disk blew, and IF you unplug the unit at this time, the clear line running from the low side to the high side may have backed out of the push-in coupling. Use a pair of pliers to push in the line on both ends. It needs to be seated firmly. Do Not crush this line with too much pressure from the pliers!
