Altaros Airforce Regulator

is anybody running one of these at 170bar? i'm a little confused by the wording on their website, and have not received a response from my inquiry to them yet.

website states:

"Altaros regulator output pressure can be set from 100bar (1450 PSI) to 150bar (2200 PSI) and after consultation of up to 170bar (2500PSI) which corresponds to the rotation of the screw behind value 150bar so that the line of the screw is pointing to the letter R. "

website also gives 170 bar shot string, and has a video showing velocity. just want to be extra careful here.

I have one and have it set to that pressure. Pointer rotated to point to the "R" in "BAR". Good luck in getting a respose from them-my guage is leaking and they show no interest in responding to multiple emails sent.

thanks bandg! i did get a response, but it was less than helpful:

"you can find info how to do it on

https://www.altaros.cz/en/airforce/75-5983-airforce-condor-airgun-regulator.html#/62-awpdetails-"

on another note, i was planning on using the Escape valve on this thing. from what i gather i will need to buy a condor or TT SHO valve for the right fit? or is airforce now standardizing the thread size on their valves

Most regulators, including Altaros and Huma, can only be adjusted in a fairly narrow pressure range, say 100-150 BAR by turning the adjustment screw. You can move the range up or down by changing or rearranging the spring stacks. It's best to tell them what you require when ordering or they will send what they consider to be the best combination for the stock version of whatever gun you want it to fit. I have never had a problem with Altaros not returning an email in the many enquiries I have sent them.

I'm a little late to the party here but came across this thread concerning the Alteros regs. I use the same reg on 2 of my AEA HP carbines. I moved the adjustment marker in the center of the "A" in bar and it increased the operating pressure safety to 170 bar. My shot count is easily 40 shots with a spread of 4 fps average velocity of 970 fps with JSB 15.89's before falling below 150 bar on the guns gauge. Compared to the 150 bar setting my velocity went up 45+ fps, no loss of accuracy and pretty much no loss in usable shot count. Trigger spring isn't easily adjusted so I'm leaving everything where it's at. Every gun is different..approach changes slowly. Alteros does state in their catalog the reg can run at 170 bar.
