I'm pretty sure he's not gone, just going by a different forum name these days.

Not that I was ever on the bad end of a financial deal from YO, but as easy as that was for him to change identities (if my suspicions are correct), it has made me feel really lucky that I haven't gotten screwed in the classifieds. Just a good example of how little safety there is in the online world. We never know exactly who we are dealing with or talking to.

I specifically said that I never had any sort of transaction with YO.

I pointed out that his changing of username, and essentially online identity, is a good example of how hard it is to really KNOW who we're dealing with online. 

Flip side to that though, is that sometimes personalities and habits shine through, regardless of the username.

Could this be the same scope with a different "Redicle" ????

I received the 4.5-27 today and I’m impressed. The clarity is really good. I have a couple Swarovski AV models and an older Zeiss DIATAL that I compared it to and the Alpha has clearer glass to me. I will be ordering another. Thanks YO!

I bought an Alpha 6...it was OK. Glass was pretty clear for sure...however, the fact that I couldn't zero the turrets and turrets were also a bit mushy was a deal breaker for me, so I returned it. As many have already mentioned this scope may be ideal if your just gonna hold and while I do hold, I also want to be able to dial. I cant say how it tracks as I only got as far as the turrets and put it back in the box. For the price its not bad. Just my .02.

Got mine mounted yesterday. Nice clear glass as has been noted, it more than lived up to the recommendations. Reticle is pretty fine - I'm going to have to get used to that. I'm simply used to more of a mil-dot style with heavier lines. It felt a bit heavy, but solid. Turrets felt fine while sighting it in. I intend to follow the advice of some and use hold-overs rather than "click" - which is more my style anyways. It has already helped eliminate three pests (10-12 yard close range shots - not much of a test) this morning. I think this one has a place on my rifle for a while.

Once I got the mounts attached adjusted (0.030" lift on the rear mount) and the scope leveled it was very close to zero. I didn't have to move the elevation more than a click or two. Windage was about 2.3 Mils left. I hadn't zeroed the windage turret when that picture was taken.

I’m not sure how best to describe it. The closest reticle I own that I could compare it to would be a Mark 4 4.5-15x50 FFP Leupold with a Mil-Rad Reticle. With both at 10x, I would say the Alpha 6 is slightly finer and with a lot more going on with it. Being as fine as the reticle is, the view through the scope does not feel like t is being obstructed. Hopefully someone can offer a better description - that’s the best I can do.

Vortex defender caps, E-10 and O-50 for the 4.5-27x50 Alpha 6 ,,I dont like bikinis on scopes and like the vortex much more than Butler Creek, the E-10 can stand straight up if you like it to and put range card inside of lid,, I like the lay flat feature

I wish I had seen these before I I bought my Althlon Conus for $2,000. the Althlon is a nice scope,but definitely not worth $1,800 more.

Man, you paid waaaaay to much money for that Cronus! Street price here in the states is $1500 give or take a few. 

But C'mon man, like I keep sayin, glass isn't everything and mentioning those two scopes are even close to being in the same league is - I don't even want to say it??? 

The Cronus is one of the most popular scopes in NRL and PRS matches for a reason, and that reason is that they aren't that far off the expensive scopes in performance. Here's a personal example. Look up 'Zero Compromise Optics'/ZCO, that actually is the #1 scope in those type of matches regardless of price, it's $3600. My good friend bought one, and two years before that he bought the Cronus BTR. Well he had to send the ZCO back for warranty work twice and has commented 3-4 times to me that he's been delighted with his super reliable Cronus BTR! The ZCO has slightly better glass but the difference isn't huge. 

That same Cronus lives on his $3000 Vudoo 22rf tactical rifle which he keeps winning our Gunsite NRL22 matches with the last 3 months in a row.
