I would be scared to click a UTG just to zero it.
Honestly I have to give UTG credit because 2 of mine had turrets that completely unscrewed off and scopes still worked!

my thoughts are the same, good scope for the money but many things about it turned me off. First it can’t be zeroed because the turret cap teeth don’t match the marking, second the turrets will not track accurately or even close. I know I’m asking a lot for a 200 dollar scope to track true but at the very least be able to zero. But if you only use hold over then it’s really not an issue and well worth 200 dollars. Recently the price went to 300 dollars which is a bit high for it, only 100 bucks more and the element helix blows it out of the water, especially the turrets are Swiss watch good.

qball are you willing to buy the Element Helix from me if I buy it and compare it to the Alpha6 and am not happy with it as I did for you?

They are perfectly ok for holdover. In fact most of my Benjamin Pistols have UTGs on them. I have an HW110 with a 2-16x UMOA UTG.

My problem is that I don’t explore many brands to begin with. I am a stubborn detective I suppose. But, I like my scopes like I like my cars, “this is just transportation. I have a nice car. My wife has it.” Having come from powder burning my Leupolds are the best I got. But Aim Sports should sponsor here because all of the money they could make if they did. I wonder what their other glass is like? Or is it specifically this one model that is so good?

I’d do it, for the money, you really can’t beat it. My son loves his and his does track fine. We don’t beat it, we dial from 50 to 75, to 100 to 125 to 165 yards and then return to zero. The Yo is full of crap thing was just playing to get everyone’s attention. Like I said in this thread, it may have been over sold a bit by YO comparing it to $1000 Chinese scopes, just my opinion, but I wasn’t knocking it at all. It is still very much worth $200-$250 or more? I got ours on sale and then got free shipping and another discount of 5% and it came in around $220. The whole YO overselling it thing is legit but not derogatory though, in reality there is a huge difference between a $1000 scope and a $200 scope. Besides, I can say whatever I want about YO...He’s gone!

I liked his posts,,If everybody had the same opinion about everything, I would not have to think for myself and form my own thoughts, beliefs, ideas, or knowledge base,, next week I get to look through this scope,,I don't click,,but I want clear lens and an easy to view eye box,,I believe the Alpha 6 will fit my limited use , mostly indoor 10 yd , outdoor 20-50 yd pesting & plinking,and occasionally a little backyard 50 yd bench

Well $1000 dollar scope? I doubt any scope would match that price for $200. Everything within reason. I always compare within the same price point - compare a $200 scope with another $200 scope. There has been a LOT of talk about the Alpha 6, not just from Yo now, so there must be something to it. I was having fun making memes trolling Yo about talking about Alpha 6s so much, only doing it because I knew he could handle the fun, but then he left. I am going to buy another scope this month after I buy a new Crosman (deciding which one). I was just recommended a higher end UTG and I am looking at that too. To say high end with UTG is laughable, but for my lot (the not so picky on the glass and prefer Iron Sights) I don’t think I can tell between the quality of anything under 1.5k. I was at a 223/556 match a few years ago and looked through some 3.7k glass and it was otherworldly

I’ll take you up for it wasn’t for I already got one, I was one of the first to receive a Helix, waited 3 months for it.
if you don’t click at all then get the alpha 6, it is slightly more clear at full magnification and @ around 200 dollars it’s a bargain! My alpha 6 the turretS were way off, and the not able to zero really annoyed me so I returned mine pronto!

I'm pretty sure he's not gone, just going by a different forum name these days.
Not that I was ever on the bad end of a financial deal from YO, but as easy as that was for him to change identities (if my suspicions are correct), it has made me feel really lucky that I haven't gotten screwed in the classifieds. Just a good example of how little safety there is in the online world. We never know exactly who we are dealing with or talking to.

I wish I had seen these before I I bought my Althlon Conus for $2,000. the Althlon is a nice scope,but definitely not worth $1,800 more.

As I said, my Alpha 6 4.5-27x50 is as clear as any $500-$600 scope. Waaay better than two Discovery scopes I own. I’m going through my safe and comparing the Alpha 6 to some of my other scopes: Leupolds, Burris, Vortex Viper PST, and it is doing very well. I consider it very close to my Trijicon Accupoints.
