Alpha 6 owners check in!

Hey guys! Got my 2nd Alpha 6 4.5x27x50 and wanted to share my 1st hand experience with it. I did purchase it because Yo recommended it and wanted to see what all the hype was.

First hand It has great clarity and zoom is pretty solid, I do wish the Ao wheel was larger, have to see if i can adapt one but thats the only downside to the scope that I see.

But I was able to zoom out to 110+ yards and see my target clear with no problem. Best part is that this scope comes with a lifetime warranty. For the price. You can beat it.

Has anyone else ordered the scope? what are your thoughts?

I got one in last week and my thoughts are same. Its a great scope for the price . The side parallax adjustment knob is fine for me and the yardage marks are spot on. The illuminated reticle works great and is very bright. The clarity of this scope is on par with my Arken SH4 4-14x44. I compared it against the Arken and an Athlon Talos BTR . Its a tad brighter than the Athlon and very comparable to my Arken . All were tested at 10 power to keep things fair. It is residing on my new Benjamin Akela.

Also, I forgot to mention that I love the reticle.

I also bought 2 based on YO's recommendations. They are bright and clear and seem to track well. My concern is whether or not they would hold up on a springer and how would warranty be handled if needed. I also like the TAC Vector line for budget scopes and they have both 8-32 and 10-40 models for under 200.00.

I really do like the reticle on the Alpha 6 though. One of my favorites.

I have one too, we bought it a few months ago and have used it a lot! I paid around $205 for ours, on sale with an additional 10% off. It is a nice scope, especially for the money. My son uses it and likes it a lot.

With that said, I think Yo May have over sold this one a bit. Better than $1000 Chinese scopes? Not a chance. Comparable to $800-$900-$1000 scopes? Nope, It’s nice, I just don’t want people buying it thinking they’re getting a scope that compares to scopes costing 3,4 or 5 times as much. It’s not that good. It is nice, well worth the money, and I’m happy I bought it. Did it really blow me away? No. Just my 2 cents. Have a great holiday weekend. Stoti

Their side focus wheels are the same diameter but they are definitely different scopes that look similar to anyone who doesn't own both to compare them side by side. This Discovery HD is a bigger scope which is pretty decent with a semi finicky eyebox and isn't as bright and clear as the smaller Alpha6 and their difference is noticeable even for someone with bad eyesight (well maybe not).

Here are the Discovery HD on left 4-20x50 FFP and Alpha6 4.5-27x50 SFP on right.

I have the Discovery 5-25x50 HD SFP too and that too isn't as clear with an eyebox that's not as friendly and their housings are really close practically the same eyeballing. The SFP Discovery HD has a reticle that looks pretty much the same as the Alpha6.
