Airgunus is a fraud. Do not try to buy anything. They scammed me and PayPal.

In my limited experience with Paypal, they support the sellers instead of the buyers. Call your credit card bank. They should be able to open a dispute and contact the seller. Good luck

i checked it out .. yeah the adress they use is associated with 'another' airgun store 'airguns of texas' with a completely different webpage .. and i didnt see any real phone contact number .. those are red flags when shopping online, if the site is in question always look at the about us information and make sure it lines up before you give somebody your money, legitimate sites dont hide anything and contact information and location are clear ...

These guys have been posted as frauds a couple of times now, I wonder if a Moderator will lock a thread about Scamming websites so everyone can see it. I think one of the dealers wrote a PSA about Airgunon / Airgunus being a fraud. it would just be beneficial in my opinion so new members or even veteran members can come and see who the professional scammer websites are before they make a purchase that seems probably to good to be true from a website lol.

Unfortunately the website looks professional and the "about us" doesn't immediately look suspect. Yeah, I missed the missing phone number and the chat box that pops up says they are not available. Unfortunately, the credit card company requires the payment to complete before doing anything and paypal takes forever (until July 8) to consider complaint. I will be out over sixty bucks, but I'll probably chalk this up to "educational expense . I agree with a posting listing known fraud sites.

I nearly got taken by airgunon, and had actually entered an order. Then something about the way they worded something just did not sound right, so notified American Express and they took care of it. If I remember right they had used the address of a legitimate brick and mortar air gun store, I think in Abilene, Tx, not sure about that but somewhere up in the panhandle area.



I was mistaken it was airgunus, they use the address of airguns of Texas in Ailene, but fail to show a phone number. I think I contacted Airguns of Texas and they knew about the scam but were powerless to do anything about it.

That's for the heads-up. They won't be hearing from me!

Stop payment on your credit card, the seller will have 30 dsys to dispute. Obviously they wont dispute, and presto you have your money back. Very simple and safe, no more scam worries!

That is what I did, worked like a charm!

Good to hear, even if you use Paypal, still use a good credit card, if you must stop payment for a problem it will piss paypal off good and royal but they never want to resolve an issue anyway so no loss there. Unfortunately I have to alway use a CC to pay for online stuff now adays, just cant trust anyone!! Just pay it off every month then your using other peoples money. 

Yeah, I have my doubts as to if Paypal is on the up and up. Sometime in the past I had linked my bank account to Paypal then last year discovered a $1600 withdrawal via Paypal. I disputed it and they claimed it was legitimate and initiated by me and would do nothing. I made a trip to my bank told them it had not been authorized and they promptly took care of it. I had my money back in my account in a couple of hours. I then deleted my paypal account and only use them as a guest with a credit card now.

She stole $79 from me for a pellet order. PayPal did not support me.

I have never won a complaint with Paypal as the buyer, and never lost one with American Express. I filed a dispute with Amex last night for over $2,000.00 and was credited back immediately. I still pay with Paypal, but only fund it through Amex. Then when crap goes south I don't even contact Paypal anymore. I just go straight to Amex who sucks the money back from Paypal. Then I get an email from Paypal politely telling me that in the future I can dispute through them. My response to the emails, "Let me think about it. No."

It's very rare when you can win a complaint with them, you should have a lot of proofs to show that you got scammed, and even though there is no guarantee that they will give you some attention. This a very bad attitude towards customers, in my opinion, and I am not sure when they will make some changes, therefore is very important to avoid getting scammed. For this purpose, I am using https://covery.ai/products/kyc, this program is very smart, and it saved me a lot of times from losing money from my account.

Sad when supplies are so hard to come by and people take advantage. Thanks for the heads up..
