Airgunus and Airforce Texan

Stay away from airgunus. They are a know fraudulent website. They will take your information and money . They have scammed a few people on here . They show everything in stock to get unsuspecting customers to buy and then get nothing in the mail. Safe yourself the headache and trouble. Have you tried pyramidair or utahairguns.

@Kraemer99 He's right. I forgot that I read Airgun Nation (AGN) posts about that scam site. According to a few AGN members, Airgunus appears to have scammed them after the placed orders and paid. Claims of it being a scam site: https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/airgunus-is-a-fraud-do-not-try-to-buy-anything-they-scammed-me-and-paypal/

The other sites @Elis5173 mentioned seem good. Never dealt with Utah Airguns, but they seem to have a good reputation with AGN members. Pyrmayd is ok as well, bought plenty from them. Check out Airguns of Arizona too. The folks at AOA have proven to be trustworthy in my book and they have a great reputation on AGN. I've bought several guns and accessories from them as well. https://www.airgunsofarizona.com/big-bore-airguns/airforce-airguns-texan-carbine-.457-cf-series/ It currently looks like they only have new Texan carbines in stock. BUT they're the ones with the newer valves and carbon fiber tanks (which can handle higher air pressure). They have some of the best customer service I've encountered. They also stand by their warranty in the event you purchase a used gun from them. You can call them and speak to a live person, if they have a long wait time you can leave a voicemail and number and someone will call you back. They also have airgunsmiths on site the will call you when they're available during the day if you need to speak to them. They test the guns they sell before shipping them out to customers. If you encounter discrepancies, they'll go above and beyond to make things right.

As for deer hunting, a stock Texan .457 will take down a white tail. Oh yea and welcome to AGN.

Thanks so much for the tips! AirgunsofArizona taking the time to literally shoot and inspect a new rifle would mean a lot to someone such as myself who would be unfamiliar with the gun. And I appreciate the Welcome! Was mainly a springer guy back in the day and groomed some kids on a few R1’s. Paintball’s straight pinned to plywood and kids shot till they missed! Not many firearms could compare for teaching a kid to shoot as a Beeman R1.

@Kraemer99 No problem. There are plenty of springer guys still around. There's actually a forum where they discuss them frequently. Here's a link if you haven't stumbled across it yet https://www.airgunnation.com/forum/airguns/springers-pumpers-c02-replicas/springers-pumpers-c02-vintage/ I shot pneumatic, springers, and CO guns as a kid. Oh I almost forgot, I don't think AOA tests Airforce Texans before they ship them because Texans are so powerful and they only have a 25'-30' indoor range where they conduct their tests. If you have any doubts or apprehensions about an item or purchase, they employ a lot of friendly and helpful people, just call them .If you have a lot of airgun questions I suggest familiarizing yourself with and trying the "search" feature in the upper righthand corner of your screen. That way you can surf the site and get lost in a plethora of airgun related information. If you get tired of reading or can't quite find the answer you're searching for, you can always post your questions. Most often someone will come up with some sort of answer.

I’m new here and have been out of the airgun loop for twenty five years. Was ready to buy a Airforce Texan SS and somehow stumbled onto Airgunus. Only place that said that they had the gun in stock. That alone should of been the red flag. Anyway I’m on the waiting list elsewhere and was wondering what others thought about the Texan........

Welcome Kraemer99. We have similar airgun backgrounds. Don't know which caliber of Airforce Texan you're leaning towards but RL Airgun Supply has the 308 & 357 in stock. Randy (owner) has been around a long time and has been a distributor of Airforce guns for years. I've bought lots of airgun stuff from Randy and have shot with him. He's also a sponser of this forum. He'll shoot the gun and make sure it's fully functional before shipping. Here's a link:

Thanks Klentz for your reply. I actually went with Airforce online Outlet store. Never been a very patient guy on a waiting list. Bought the Texan LSS .457 with new new carbon fiber tank and upgraded valve. Outlet store appears to sell “blemish” guns at a discount. I’ve been a “blemished” human my entire life so this should fit me perfectly!!

I have the Airforce Texan SS .30. I have a carbon fiber tank and use 3300 PSI in a stock rifle. I am getting 915 FPS with a 135 grain slug for 251 foot pounds of energy at muzzle. Haven't had the opportunity to hunt any hogs yet living in SE Georgia it is 100+ temps right now. It is an air hog. I can get about 3 accurate shots before I get any drop at bullet impact at 100 yards. But its is only a 2" drop on shot #4 and 4" drop on shot #5.
