Airgun Web bias??

He's one of the better pro reviewers for that because he does mention what he doesn't like in some of his reviews. Check out his review of the Benjamin Bulldog compared to everyone else's. You'd think it was a different gun. There is definitely a degree of reading between the lines but it's obvious he was not impressed with that gun.

I have spoken to him on this subject and there is definitely a lot he isn't allowed to say if he doesn't want the work to dry up (same as every pro reviewer). If you want impartial views, you'll only get them from peer reviews and even then, you're more likely to get 100% candor if you ask in a pm vs on an open discussion.

You'll never see one of those guys saying they hated a gun and advising you not to buy it publicly. If you contact Rick privately, I'm sure he'd give you his honest opinion.

Never did like his style of review, I don't even watch his reviews because I have see him butcher reviews on gun that the world knows are accurate but he makes them look like junk. if your going to review a gun out of the box, I really don't think people will say a word if you at least clean the barrel, find the psi were you have a bell curve so the gun can be shot at its best

On all the reviews I have watched by a so callled "expert", I have seen very few negative reviews (if ever). Yes they all say a few things down about the rifle but they all conclude it is an amazing rifle, REALLY?. So……... if you really want the skinny on a rifle, I would watch the the regular Joe's reviews (could he be biased?). If you want to see all the features and inovation of a gun watch AirgunWeb and others, I think they do a great job for this, but I think this is just the start of your research and evaluation of your next purchase.

PS- Do I think they are biased, YES. Do I think they are liars, NO.
The good news is, that there are a lot of good rifles out there, and just like cars, there are "Ford guys". If you happen to get a lemon, there are people out there to make it right. I have turned a lemon (a .22 Maruader), into a Lazer, at least for me.
