I have been using Leapers UTG scopes on my Benjamin Titan and Marauder, and love them. Best scopes I've used for airguns. Here's a link to which one I mean on Pyramyd Air. Not a paid endorsement. I share it for reference's sake:

I just got back from the firearms range today after a frustration session of trying to zero my Marlin 30/30 for the upcoming deer season. The scope I have on it is a POS, and would never let me make a group where I wanted. At one point, the windage turret just stopped moving the inner tube, even though there was plenty of room left on the dial. My question is this: Could I use the above Leapers scope on my 30/30? It's built to withstand the rigors of break barrel air rifles. It also has all the features I want of a firearms scope -- AO, 3-9 x 40, mill dots, even an illuminated reticle -- for a fraction of the price. About the only shortcoming I can see is the scope's AO goes to 100 yards and then defaults to infinity, at which point I imagine the parallax distortion is pretty bad. But... the land I hunt rarely offers more than a 100-yard shot for all the brush. (Hence my choice of deer rifle).
Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't/couldn't use this scope on my 30/30?
