Airgun hunting in DFW area???

Greetings folks, are there any good places or "permissions" to hunt or with airgun in the DFW area.
I live north of the area (Allen) where there's alot of Ag land, open lots, long tree line, but not sure how to approach them.
Saw abunch of guys dove hunting with shotguns (in season of course) in an open field. Tempted to go door knock.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Unfortunately we are unable to shoot Mourning or White-winged doves with an air rifle. They are a migratory bird and fall under Federal regulations. It is possible but unlikely that laws will be changed for us air gunners. Check with your state as the Eurasion-collared dove is an invasive species and can be hunted with an air rifle in New Mexico. All states are different but the consensus is, they want these birds controlled or eliminated as they are displacing the native doves. I understand most land near DFW is tied up in leases but you could ask. Many of these places charge a daily or season rate. Most of the daily rates are reasonable.
Best of luck,
NM

Your not too far from CADDO-LBJ National Grasslands in Decator, www.fs.usda.gov

Google: army corps of engineers hunting near Dallas TX, they have access to lands around TX lakes.
Check tpwd.texas.gov, for public lands.
See if your local gunshop has a bulletin board to post on.
Knocking on doors or catching someone driving a tractor/ hauling hay can be the best, ask them if they are having trouble with rats or pigeons eating grain.

Good luck!

Hi Fuji!
Wanted to see how things turned out on your "permissions" search last year. I'm in same boat and this came up when I searched rat hunting in DFW. Any tips and/or would you consider a partner? Just purchased night vision scope and looking for chance to use it on something besides hogs. Also would enjoy learning from other airgunners. All my fellow shooters who use typical firearms just give me a funny look when I mention I'm really getting into airguns.
