AGD - pellet deal confusion

The wording IS confusing because it's stated slightly differently in two placed. Buy three and the cheapest is free is NOT the same as buy three get one free. Now it could be interpreted as the same I'll give you that but I think any reasonable person who reads buy three get one free is figuring he's getting 4 tins. If they had inserted the the word THEM in there totally different. As in buy three get one of THEM free. All in the details and certainly easy fix. AOA clearly show on their check out invoice separate if you order 4 there is a line item for the four with a price and a separate line for the 5th tin and a price of "0" showing Boys this isn't rocket science and the dealer is at fault.

Hey everyone! We're glad you enjoyed the promotion, but do want to apologize for the confusion that the language/text has caused. We'll certainly review it with our team to see if we can clear it up, but would love any feedback you have. What do you think makes the most sense? (Caveat: you have to put the tin into your cart that you want free)

A. Buy 4 tins & get the lowest priced tin free
B. Put 4 in your cart and pay for 3
C. Buy 3 get 1 pellet tin free
D. << something else, you pick >>

Also, some of you expressed not getting the discount you thought you should so we'll take a look at that and make sure it's working properly.

In the past I’ve seen some creative deals when it comes to this kind of buy and get one free type of thing. Let me preface this by saying it has nothing to do with the retailers mentioned here. My concern is that when you “buy” 4 you pay tax on 4 then they subtract the price of one after you paid tax on it, that’s what happened to me locally on something that had nothing to do with pellets. With this new internet tax law it can add up over a years time. So I’ll vote buy 3, pay tax on 3, and get one of same or lesser value free. Also I’m not really that “tight” of guy but the first time I had that happen to me I thought what the fill in the blank.

Buy 4 for the price of 3 (Note: lowest priced tin of the 4 in the shopping cart will be used for the free tin).
