Airgun Depot did the bait and switch thing ordered Impact-X got a gen2 Impact ?

Airgun Depot did the bait and switch thing I ordered an Impact-X and they sent me a gen2 Impact. When I called them about it the nice lady on the phone led me to believe that all I needed was an Impact-X barrel to make it the same and it was on the way. I was naive and ignorant, at the time, so let this happen and by the time I figured things out a year had passed even longer cuz they didn't answer my emails for a couple of months. Now they say to much time has passed take it up with FX. Crooked people I spent near 3K at their site in the last many months and this is how I get repaid! No more Airgun Depot for me, my family or friends. It really is a shame people have to do these kinds of things. I actually would have never known but had regulator problems and when I called Airgun Depot they said call FX. So I called FX they said take it apart and that is when I discovered the 8mm Belleville washers. The Impact-X has 10mm washers.

Well I just learned that there were approximately 750 gen2 guns that were probably labelled as Impact-X units at the very beginning of the X-barreled guns. 😳 Heavy-Impact has one of these. So my gen2 was made right before the beginning of that mess so what I was told could possibly be true. Not labelled as an Impact-X but considered to be one before they made the majority of the changes. So not being sure of all of this I will need to apologize to Airgun Depot for the possible error of this post.

I have a gen 2 Impact X with 8mm bellville washers. Gen 3 has the amp reg with 10mm bellville washers as well as the MKII... at least that's my understanding of it. I put a Huma regulator in it to fix the creep problem.

Edit: Here's a picture of my rear block that says Smooth Twist X

I'm just a bit ticked off cuz I was led to believe gen2 and gen3 were the same guns except for barrel and that is just not so. Figured they owed me a trigger block but they did not go for it. Yes, I had to put a Huma on as well thought about getting the extra high pressure unit but decided to werq on the plenum first to see where I will be with the pressure and velocity of the .25 NSA 36 slugs first. I am waiting for my 6.5 VS and new hammer spring to come in the mail before I do the plenum. Left my gun cocked overnight and lost 25fps. Grrr. I am hoping I get everything I need for the VS swap from Fx. I got a couple of dies 10mmx1 and the 1/8bsp for to make the plenum adapter but then thought that that does not leave much room for the air to get past. What size did you end up using?

If you're using a yong heng filter for the plenum you need a 1/8 bsp to m10 adapter fitting. Screw it into the rear block then dill the center to 6mm all the way through. Remove any bur inside the block and dress the edge with 2500 grit paper to be sure it doesn't damage an o-ring. Clean everything well and reassemble. Only tighten the external plenum enough to seal. I guess you know the valve housing must have the bottom bridge removed for an external plenum.

Yes, I have an extra YH filter too I was just starting to look around to see what I could use when I saw you used it and thought it was a great idea. Even found a M10x1 gauge for the bottom. But then was thinking, not always a good thing, ;^) that the small port on the adapter which I was going to make cuz I did not like the ones I bought, would be a bottleneck. So thought about drilling the ports out to 12mmx1.5 until I went to the hardware store and found no metric drill bits nor 12mm stainless bolts. Guess I have what I need to do it with the m10x1 and 1/8bsp anyway. Thanks, I appreciate your sharing.

BekNazar, From what I heard Matt, Ernest say on their vids if it doesn't say Impact-X then it isn't and does not have the AMP reg, trigger upgrade and much more. My serial # is in the 182xx and it is definitely a gen two Impact and not an Impact-X. I am not overly concerned because I can make it into something that will function similar to an X or even better anyway. Still I ordered an X and this is not one as it does not say it nor is it built like it. Nor does it resemble the picture of the Impact-X I ordered. Some people just unloaded their obsolete gear on us is the way I look at it. You can call a VW a Cadillac but that does not make it so. It's over $600 for the upgrade to a real X gun and I am not about to waste my money to do that.
