I have the Talon SS in 25 cal with 12 inch barrel and love the gun.... great hunter .... even better once I installed the mad dog stock on it...
Can you tell me if the RL Shroud makes that much of a difference from the stock gun with baffles .... the SS is not bad, but I would like it even more if it made less noise.....

Speed yes. Accuracy maybe. Depends on the barrel and the shooter. Billy, I don't have it anymore, but I used to own a Talon SS, and I put an R&L shroud on it. It makes a significant difference. From what I have been told, the one that Tony makes is even better, although it is significantly more expensive. The R&L is extremely effective and a great value for the price.

Like most air rifles, it depends. In my experience the Air Force rifles require a fair amount of tinkering to get the most out of them. Adding a Mad Dog stock typically makes a big difference, as frame flex is a common issue on AF guns. It will also significantly improve the ergonomics or the AF rifles. My Talon SS was very accurate out of the box out to about 40 yards. After some trigger work and the addition of a few upgrades including the MD stock it was as accurate as anything I've owned excluding the HM1000 I currently own. Its a very simple single shot design with a high quality LW barrel. If you like to tinker with your guns you would probably enjoy the platform. If you want to just pick something up and shoot it, probably better choices out there.

I did not tinker with my Talon SS and I am able to do this will my Talon 25 cal at 35 yards...
Have not tried 50 ....... My Talon is my Squirrel gun.... Yes I do have more expensive guns and many to choose from...
but I always pick the Talon up to hunt a second shot is never needed.... I have added a mad dog stock ... and love it... I keep my squirrel shooting at 35 and 40 yards... this gun is perfect... My next gun will be a condor or a Texan

This is a five shot group at 35 yards and yes that red center is half inch......

Also, don't do what I did... and put off buying the mad dog stock..... Not that the gun feels bad when shouldered but it is so much better with the stock....
If you can afford it.. its worth every penny and then some..... super nice looking to..

While hunting I come across many people that think it is a toy until I let them shoot it ..... One person wanted to buy it right then..... I said nope.... telling them there is more to air guns than just the gun.... there are support equipment as well...

The average hunter has no idea of what air guns can do.... One woman wanted me to come to her basement to shoot chipmunks.... I told her my guns are not what you need indoors..... but again... she could not understand that.... and still thought they are toys...

Also I have not bought a Condor yet for one very good reason..... I don't think I need more power... at 35 yards the pellet still goes through the squirrel when shot in chest...
Like I said I do most hunting to about 40 yards...... mostly in the 30 yard range... Once hit they do not go far it they go anywhere..... Not sure I need the power of a condor ss..
