AIRFORCE Compressor!

"Centercut"The Compressor looks nice, and I'm sure its a quality unit. Not wanting to sound too critical, but I think $899.95 makes in kinda pricey for something that really is designed for filling air guns and not tanks. How about $499.95? That makes it much more desirable. Just my two cents...
I was thinking the same thing but the price of most air gun products have a tendency to drop quickly after six months or so. I like that it's quiet needs no oil or water and can be hooked up to 12 volt power as well as house current. You have to consider everything it offers that other compressors don't. Seems very cutting edge and cutting edge will cost a little more.

AGFAN, I do see your point. What I would do is look at the alternatives. And that alternative is bringing a 45 or 60 minute SCBA tank with you when you shoot. I am of course assuming you have a way to fill them, either SCUBA shop or personal compressor like the AC or AV, or one of the new ones like the Hatsan which is pretty much the same mechanically with additional add-ons. So you can spend less than $200 for a SCBA tank that has a couple years service left and a fill rig, and have the same convenience as the $900 AirForce portable compressor...

I like the new Hatsan Compressor by the way, it seems to add to the AV compressor as far as an auto drain valve, and a larger filter/dryer. Haven't seen any photos of the "other" side where the water tank and cooling system must be located? But probably close to the AV. And the price of the Hatsan is similar to the AV.

IMHO, I can't help but think that the Alpha Carette (AC) compressor is the better engineered one compared to the three, since it runs much cooler amd quieter than the Tuxing based compressors. Although, again, the AC "mechanically in the compressor itself" is very much based on the Tuxing the same as the AV and Hatsan, except it is belt driven and runs at 1/3 the speed of the other direct drive models. And, the AC in the HP cylinder has a piston fit that doesn't need those semi-metallic rings that wear out over time. Big year in Compressors and Regulators I see! ;)

It would be nice if the price would be a bit lower but I can see getting one to have in my Truck, would be nicer then dragging my AV out to my range plus no more hauling the 74cf tank around, would be interesting to see how long a group 27 Deep Cycle Battery would last with it for remote filling, wonder how long of a extension cord you can safely use with it? My minds a going now.
