Who makes them and are they any good. I made the mistake of trying the Gamo and Daisy sample pack when I first started out. Don't want to make that mistake again.

Straight shooters used to sell a sampler pack that you could purchase. It comes with about 25 different pellets (different brands and weights) to try. About 30 pellets for each type to try out. I have found that you can't go wrong with JSB's. I have one rife that shoots H & N well but all my other rifles shoot JSB's. Crosman/Benjamin pellets are OK but dirty!

Yea ive seen that sampler pack. I dont think the Air Venturi pellets were in there (whick should clue me in right there). I need to order it. Ive been doing ok with the cphp but just looking for a cleaner pellet. The cphp shoot well in most of my guns but I have to clean the barrels every 200 shots or so. I do clean the pellets but dont lube them.

Tried the HN sample. Nothing really wowed me except the field target trophy greens. Got a JSB sampler coming soon. Just out there exploring all the options.
