Air Venturi Issue

I've had my Airventuri compressor since December and it has worked really well other than popping two of the rupture disc prematurely. I started to use it a couple of days ago and when I hit the cooling system switch, nothing happened. Turned the switch off then back on and I could hear a slight whirling sound and then that stopped. Cycled the power several more times and it seemed like each time I'd get a longer run time out of the cooling fan and pump. I could see the water moving ever so slightly in the hose but then each time it would stop. Finally it finally ramped up to full speed and it sounded normal . I went ahead and kicked on the compressor and topped off my 75cuft tank.

After I filled the tank I let it go through a cool down mode and shut off the cooling system. I then turned it back on and it spun up as normal, let it set for an hour or so and again it worked perfect. Today I turned the cooling system on and nothing. Cycled power, got a slight hum out of the fan and it stopped. Cycled the power again and this time I heard something pop. More that likely a fuse I guessing. To me is sounds like it's not getting full power like maybe a tranformer or capacitor if it has one is bad. Has anyone else heard or experienced this?

I called PA and left a call back number this morning but never heard back today. Probably a busy day for them though.

probably a overload switch or fuse like you said it may be a run start cap thats no good im sure its got one ,,look for deformations to the top of capacitor if top bubbled up ,,,remember the cap holds a charge so dont get zapped ,discharge by grounding each lead to each other if your trouble shooting with a electrical meter the meter must be able to measure farads

Hey hey, things have turned around. I got a call back from Jordan at PA yesterday. We talked through my issue and he gave me some instructions on how to trouble shoot the problem. He seemed to think it was either the fuse that comes in the kit or the power supply that reduces the voltage from 110AC to 12vdc. I changed the fuse yesterday but that didn't fix the problem. I called Jordan back this morning as instructed and he'd already got an order ready that included a new power supply and also some replacement rupture disc that had prematurely blown. I have no doubt we'll get it back up and running very soon. Thanks PA and Jordan for fixing me up.

Woohoo back up and running. It was the power supply and it was about a ten minute procedure. One of the good things about the electrical system is it being individual components instead of one larger (more expensive) unit and I would guess most of the parts could be bought elsewhere if necessary. Just thought I'd share what the problem was. BTW, this is the component.
