Air Venturi compressor question on coolants.

I have had my AV compressor well over a year and it works great. I use distilled water as per the instructions. BUT..... I was wondering if this needs to be changed periodically? And really want to know if it is safe to use some type of antifreeze with corrosion inhibitors? I watched a video with Tofazfou and his coolant looked bluish/purple. I was wondering if anyone has the AV and has used something other than distilled water long term? Thanks. Have a great labor day.

I have 179 hours on my Omega and was wondering the same thing yesterday and looked at the directions. This is what it says - maybe different for the AV:

Change gear oil and radiator fluid after 3500 hours of use. Use non-distilled purified water, regular anti-freeze, and purple ice when filling the radiator. 16 0z. of radiator fluid. 1 OZ of purple ice, 1 Oz. of anti-freeze, and the remaining 12 - 14 OZ of fluid being non distilled purified water. in caps: DO NOT USE DISTILLED WATER.

3500 hours seems like along time. At my annual fill rate, I'll be 140 when I need to service my compressor. I'm going to email Todd the AOA compressor guru to verify.

My Hatsan Lightning specs say use distilled water. Sometimes I wonder who writes these manuals up. My drain and refill for coolant is very 100 hours or every year, whichever comes first. Coolant ratio is no less than 25% antifreeze(G105 spec’d) and no more than 50%. I went with a 40/60 mix, with a few ounces of Redline’s water wetter solution in the mix.
