Air venturi 90ci tank

Is this a brand new tank?

It might not be opening up all the way, I have the same tank and it’s about a year old and my fill knob and vent knob are starting to act up, when I hookup to the airgun today I needed to give it a bit more heft when turning the fill knob to get it to fill and now my vent is starting to leak so I need to open and close that to get it to stop, I think my whole reg system is starting to go out, if your tank is brand new I would get ahold of PA and see if you can exchange it I’m starting to think I might need to replace my regulator set up also, like I said mine just started to act up today.

It could also be that the regulator is only set to 2000 psi fill pressure not the 2900 psi it should be, maybe the wrong regulator got mixed up with the other ones when they were assembling it because I do know they have regulators set down to 2200 psi also.

Hey guys my av 90ci tank gave me a problem too. On the edge of the thumb screw to open and close the valve there are 2 or 3 tiny allen key screws that hold it against the pin/valve. Make sure they are tight and try again. Mine was slowly spinning and wouldnt fill up all the way. Then the allen screw fell out and then I realized what the problem was. I still need a new one but after tightening the others it works good. If that doesnt work I would call whomever you bought it from and get a new one.

Mason who filled your tank for you and how? Just wondering.

both mine were tight. Should add that when I turn my fill knob it does stop and if I give it a bit more it turns and then there is enough air to trip the valve(you can hear it open)and fill up my gun, then my vent knob feels like bearings are going out or something in there it is making a weird sound when you turn the knob. I’ll keep a eye on mine and see what happens being I’ll be using it more now for awhile.

I purchased the Air Venturi 88 cu.i. from Pyramid two weeks ago. I already had the Benjamin 90 and wanted a second backup for when I shoot with my nephew.

The Benjamin works fine on my Marauder Field and Target and Pistol. The Air Venturi only fills the guns to 2500. I'm not sure if the problem is the accuracy of the gauges on the guns, which are both new.

Given all the problem reviews I have seen here and elsewhere on this regulator, I have decided to just return the tank to Pyramyd which knocks 20% off the amount of the credit if they deem that the tank is not defective. When I re-checked the listing on Pyramyd I saw that the tank description states that it is plus or minus 10% 2900 psi. Given that the reading on the guns is 2500 which is close to that limit, I don't want to pay the re-stocking fee. Has anyone else had this experience with Pyramyd?

Mine struggles to get to 2900 but hits 2600 pretty quick and then it slowly gets to 2900, I’m having a issue with the two set screws that are on the fill dial/knob, they are not holding on the brass screw and I need to keep tightening them up, think I need to go to the hardware store and see if they have set screws with a more defined point to seat into the brass screw. I thought they were tight but Friday I was having issues again. My tanks about a year old, I shoot with it tetherd on my Hatsans so I’m not opening and closing the valve a lot when out,I shoot from 4500 down to 2500 and then refill the tank when I get home, glad I have bigger tanks to use.

I might need to just get longer set screws and file the points myself to grip the screw better.

I’ve never had to return anything to PA before so I guess that’s a good thing so I don’t have any experience with their return policy’s, 

Here's the gauges on my Air Venturi, Marauder Field&Target, and Marauder Wood Walker, which still shows less than 2600 psi when filled. The rifle is less than 2500 psi.

Bummer. Seems it might be nice if PA ( whomever) checked the output on these units.

You might save money if you have a painball shop near by. I cant see then charging $1.00 just to check the psi and to reset the regulator should be $25 or less.

I just want to add that PA gave me a full refund with no re-stocking charge. What everyone says about Pyramyd is true. They have great customer service.
