Air Venturi 5k disc burst

Those burst disks aren’t made with the best quality control, also the affects of high pressure Air is cumulative so the disk gets weaker over time. As long as a good mechanical high pressure relief valve cost is high manufacturers will stick with using the cheap burst disks so get used to it and keep some spares . If they weren’t supposed to blow out so often it wouldn’t be made so easy to replace. 

2nd what Brian said. I have replaced a few of these over the years thru use in paintball and now air guns. Just replaced the 5k disc on my AV tank 2 weeks ago (tank is 2yrs old). I keep a spare and a hex wrench just for it in my tool kit. That reminds me to order a new spare disc.

Really not that bad. Yeah, it will startle you when one bursts. It is a sudden release of air but not an explosive "bang!". Not something to really worry about. Just have a replacement on hand so as not to limit your shooting fun.
Side note: no sealant (teflon tape, ect..) is needed when you install the new burst disc.
