Air Venturi 4500 issues(not the Nomad)

Has anyone rebuilt the Hi pressure side? Cannot find proper schematic or piston seals- Just paid off & 12 days out of warranty. So far pyramid air has done me well( originally came with no filter in housing or the wire to remove) then recently the water res started leaking at the mounting seam(also taken care of) Now was filling & temp was running little hi & wouldn;t go past 2500 psi on line . Any help?

Your piston seals are toast, your check valve out of the cylinder may need removal and cleaning, basic leaks, etc.

read back on my tread on page two regarding my Hatsan Lightning compressor, and my recent tread titled “SCORE!”

The one guy I know very knowledgeable on these type of compressors(and he recently got his AV up and running great again) is JKING. He is very well versed on these mid range compressors.

The one thing you’ll be lucky with is parts are easily attained from Pyramid Air.

Piston seals actually look good(only 5 hrs.)- reed valve(2 on hi-side) but top one was smudged badly(haven't got to the other)- seals out of stock- will wait for new reed valves to arrive- check valve on hi-side is at filter, so not the issue- can't believe hi side seals are out of stock- look like the same as Yong Heng(solid ring-no split) or I would replace while apart- this is 3rd compressor(Vevor, Tuxing, now this- Getting ready to due my own embargo on Chinese CraP(which Air Venturi is , also) Found nice Nuvair MCH6 gas powered for 2500(normally $3700) on their site , but not made of money. Machining on Air Venturi was much better than the other Crap I bought, so hopefully can get up & running..Buy 3 times , cry like a little girl, break things, sell asset's & buy a Bauer LOL Why I love PCP's

You said it's out of warranty. Now you saying it only have 5 hours on it? So out of the whole year you only use it for 5 hours? There are 2 reasons it wouldnt build pressure. First one is to look for any leaks. Even small leaks will prevent it from getting to full pressure. Next would be check high piston ring. But since you claimed it only have 5 hours on it. It shouldn't be worn out. You also claim piston seal is good. Then why do you need a replacement for the seal? I dont own the av, but I do own the hatsan lighting which is basically the same compressor with auto purge and digital gauge. Mine used the split rings, same ones found on the tuxing compressor.

You may want to take a look at how this AV owner fixed the problem : https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/air-venturi-compressor-wont-build-pressure/

If the reed valve is smudged, it is very likely that the high-pressure piston is hitting it. Better check if the piston head has become loose.

Here are some schematics. Knowing Chinese on one of them would help a lot. Hope they help.
