Air Velocity Sport: Is slugging it out in recovery

Hey guys and gals,

This is a public service announcement to communicate an airgun community friend, Stephen from Air Velocity Sport (AVS) has had to have emergency surgery and will be out of the game for a short period while he recovers.

His surgery went well and he is recovering and on an antibiotic regimen. I can not share the details of his medical condition which required surgery but I am sure that once he is able, he will fill you all in on the details.

UPDATE: 4/11/2021 @ 6:00AM Eastern
Stephen was discharged after a couple of days of observation. He was home healing but there was a complication that required Stephen to return to the hospital and undergo an additional procedure. As of Saturday morning, the report is that the follow-up procedure was a success and he is being observed and resting comfortably.

UPDATE: 4/13/2021 @ 5:00AM Eastern
Stephen is home recovering. He is really tired and not feeling too well from all the procedures and infectious control regimens that he has been through. Under the circumstances, he is not very communicative but is aware of all of your support

UPDATE: 4/16/2021 @ 9:00AM Eastern
Stephen was home recovering and as doctors do, they like to try and let the body repair something that is rather complicated for the procedure to correct. That said, Stephen's body is not correcting this remaining issue so he is back in the hospital for another procedure. He is responsive but just not feeling well and not up to conversation. The current issue is really just making him feel yucky.

UPDATE: 4/23/2021 @ 8:30AM Eastern.
Sorry for the delay in providing an update but Stephen was home and recovering from the last procedure, recovering but not feeling more than 50% his normal self. Wednesday Stephen needed to go in for a routine follow up and it was determined that there was yet another complication that required him to be readmitted for the complication to be addressed. This correction created an elevated level of pain and discomfort but today Stephen is feeling much better and Stephen anticipates more significant progress in his recovery and a general feeling of wellness. He is monitoring these communications and can see your words of support and concern which helps more than you know.

Thank you and please send positive energy to Stephen for a quick recovery.

Regards,

Hajimoto

Another update posted.

Stephen sent me a text message on the 8th telling me about his procedure. Filled me in on the root issue and the nuances of the complications that ensued. Then I wrote him on the 9th and asked how he was doing. He wrote me back on the 10th and said he was still hospitalized because of a small complication. I've been praying for him and reaching out periodically. I haven't heard from him since, so I appreciate your updates regarding his progress. I'm bummed he has to keep going back to the hospital. He's a great guy, and a pioneer and innovator for the air rifle world. Keep us posted Hajimoto......
