Air tank hoses and valves

Good afternoon, apologies if this has been asked before. I am trying to find a tutorial or a guide on how to make my own connections to hoses and valves for air tanks. I bought a Air Venturi portable tank. The hose i assume will go bad at some point or the connections. I would like to know how to repair or build a new one and how to make my setups. For when the day comes... lol

Thank you again if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Glad you got a tank. It makes filling airguns less painful. Next I would say "do not" make your own hoses or repair the valve. Reason I say this is that this is VERY high pressure. It is not the same as the air pressure hoses used at automotive shops (gas stations) or the pressure used for pneumatic tools (maybe 400-500 psi max). This is even higher pressure then what my friends use in their SCUBA diving tanks. The exception I would say is if you are trained and have the correct tools to deal with the high pressure (3000-5000 psi). With care your equipment will last quite a while. When buying new replacement hoses or connections be careful and don't buy inexpensive (cheap) stuff as the quality is suspect. Buy only from reputable businesses. There have been to many instances of inexpensive or homemade high pressure hoses and fittings going BOOM. There may be exceptions to my remarks but high pressure is nothing to sneeze at.

On the other hand working on the internals of your airgun, after depressurizing, is another story. Again welcome to the wonderful wacky world of airguns. May the force be with you.

The hoses, valves and fittings used in these applications are VERY robust. With proper care they should last many years. Do not be afraid of high pressure. Rather respect it and do not work on a pressurized system or replace parts with cheap parts of unspecified ratings. You might need to replace an o-ring in a female foster occasionally but it is not pressurized if not hooked to a male foster fill port on a gun nor is any disassembly required to accomplish the replacement.

Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate it, and it makes sense. Will do. I got the smaller tank to carry on trips with my kids. But the Scuba shop was barely able to get it to 270 bars. So it only filled the Wildcat twice at best and Edgun once. I am hoping once i get the Valve bolt for the compressor that i can get it to full 4500 PSI and it might fill up the airguns a couple of more times....

Thinking about getting a large air tank for the house... this is nuts lol . Will you listen to what i am saying. already thinking of more ways to spend money... blahahahhaha

Funny....I just asked the phone answering guy at Joe Brancota's Airtanksforsale.com today about how long a fill whip might last....the comment back was;

"Unless you kink, run over, cut or damage the whip, it should last a very long time, just about a life time actually." I might hazard a guess though, how ever robust a whip might be, if it's left to the elements, such as long exposure to ultra violet, it will fail much sooner from becoming brittle.

I have purchased many items from Joe and have been treated fairly and on time every time. I would highly recommend that facility.

Yes, it is difficult to find a place for a 4500psi fill, especially with the Chinese virus thing going on. You may want to put a bigger tank and a compressor on the short list as well. It's much more fun when you can shoot all you want and never run out of air. Just let the addiction be your guide to all things airgun.;^)

I have been dong this for decades and never had a problem with a hose yet but have replaced the o-rings on the foster fittings several/many times.
