Air supply needed for FX Wildcat

3500 psi is 240 bar, but after just a fill or two the pressure is gonna drop fast. Not worth it. You'll need a 4500 psi tank. The side of the wildcat reads 220 bar but the airtube says 230 bar. I read that AOA filled it to 250 bar for their testing. I just fill mine to 230 bar and I shoot 40 shots (5 magazines) then refill. A full 4500 tank 75cf. gives me around 16 to 19 full fills and then starts dropping off to give me partial fills.

I notice that some air tanks are regulated to 2900psi for filling. Will this be a problem for the FX and could you advise me as to what type tank would not have this regulation? I have never owned an air rifle with an internal reg. Not sure how this works I just know that following the performance curve as the air supply goes down seems like something this would help greatly. Do you know if the FX internal regulator is adjustable?

jland48 I have a steel 120 cu ft tank with a fill pressure of 3500 psi and also a 97 cu ft carbon fiber tank by Air Tanks For Sale that fills to 4500 psi and the tank is call the 'Great White'. On FX's site it states you can fill the Wildcat's 25 caliber's 300cc tank to 230 bar or 3300psi. On my steel 120 cu ft tank that would mean you get 9 fills total. Using my cf 97 cu ft tank you would get 33 fills. Now you don't have to fill to 230 bar you could only fill to 200 bar and get a few less shot but you really need to get a carbon fiber 4500 psi tank. This is the guy to buy from as his tanks and fittings are all high quality American made. Also at the bottom of his product page he talks about cascading air between two tanks to make better use of air from two tanks. If you bought one of his tanks you could use your steel tank too to extend your air supply. And yes you do not want to buy the regulated 2900 psi fill tank as your Wildcat will need a higher fill pressure. Now the regulator that is in your Wildcat will basically eliminate the fps shot curve as it meters out a set or regulated amount of air for each shot. Bill
