Air Force Ultima Long Texan Mad Dog Stock.

Just let me start by saying I wasn’t sure this would of changed anything about the Texan 45 in my mind but was I wrong, The Mad Dog stock I put on makes the Texan way more enjoyable to shoulder even with my disability I just can’t believe how nice the Texan feels now and how balanced it feels, I’ve always shot this off the bench because of the size, it’s long, has the goofy butt plate for the shoulder but now I don’t think I’ll have any problem shooting it freehand more often now, don’t know why I waited so long..It feels like a rifle should feel. Anyway here are a few pics...

And the finished Texan, still need to put a picatinny rail on but that’s easy.

Worth every dollar.

"badammo"That is a nice looking rig. I have been thinking of these stocks for my talon and condor. After i get the reg sets and new bottles of course.
something I have found with single loading is that you rarely get a dry fire due to the mag running out. Always happens on a prize target.
You have a very good point there..I’m so used to my bolt actions and ARs that single loading is hard for me to get used to but the more I do it the less of a issue it’s becomes.

If I order a Condor I’ll be ordering a Mad Dog stock at the same time, won’t even shoot it without the MD stock on it, still need to see some shot strings with the .25 Condor being I already have three 25 caliber Airguns and looking at ordering another HMx in .25 so that would mean I would sell a couple other ones, don’t need 5 but 3 would be ok.

Of all the already built & sold configurations out there, what of these do you guys think is best option?

Buy a .357 Texan SS from Talon Tunes or whoever sells at best price. Then mad dog or self made rigid heavy stock, & either Doug's or Cothran valve; but I hear Cothran ' is tearing the gun up inside. Too much power.

Buy a stock .25 Condor & have Tony redo it. He would as,I see he has the TJ .30 hand lapped barrel, but I'm interested in slugs so more info needed.

Buy a regular Condor or any other barrel length/caliber I want stock. Then get fittable shroud with Clague slip over LDC, Doug's valve, & the best drop in .257 barrel & vented bushings I can find, plus a heavy bench rest stock?

By the way, any info on who would make a hollow synthetic I can pack with #8 shot or a really heavy dense thick flat forearm solid or laminate?
