Air Fitting Thread Type

They can be either one. NPT is easy to spot because the threads are tapered. BPP threads aren't tapered. NPT is more common in the U.S. I hate to complicate things for you, but a lot of the Chinese hoses can be M10*1 metric threaded which is incompatible with BPP and NPT. The M10*1 threads are also parallel if you have a male threaded hose. Only way to tell for sure is if two fittings thread easily. Best to check with the source you purchased your hose from.

I’m trying to do the same thing. I ordered a 1/8 BSP male/ female swivel elbow from Best Fittings in the UK. The female should thread onto a quick disconnect going to the gun. I will place a male disconnect into the male side of the elbow which will then allow another quick disconnect ( on the end of the fill hose) to complete the connection.

Hope you understand

This gets unnecessarily complicated if you ask me .

I’ll let you know if it works
