Air compressor clarification.

So I've had my GX air compressor for roughly a month, very pleased with it.

I remember reading a thread on AGN " this site " but forgot the recommended technique described in thread so must ask......is it best to leave compressor running when air pressure is released ? I'm not referring to cooling fans.

I believe that's what I read but would appreciate verification......yes I'm old and forgetful.

General accepted wisdom, as I understand it, is to never start up or shut down under pressure. I start my Yong Heng with pressure relief valves open, the close to fill, having adjusted my Set Pressure gauge at slightly higher than needed, open relief valves just prior to manual shut down. Start water cooling pump before any operation and leave running after for cool down.
