Recently I bought an Air Chrony MK3 to use with my airguns. This weekend I tested with my FX Impact .25. I installed a set of three brand new Duracell alkaline battery AAA as recommended. Batteries lasted +- 20 shots and came with the message "battery change". So I replaced it with another set, also brand new, and again after 20 shots average the batteries were gone. I measured the voltage on the six batteries before and after and they continue to show 1.5V.

Can you please help me to understand what is going on? 20 shots only is completely unacceptable. What could be possibly happening?
