A little project I have been working on for the last couple months from a bunch of parts and pieces i had laying around
early tests seem good

OK, I will assume this is a device to boost PSI from tanks that are nearly depleted… right?

March 2, 2021 at 7:25 am LinkI have a ready supply of low pressure nitrogen (3000 psi) and building this should fill my guns and my guppy tank .. with less than a 200.00 bucks in it im excited to be able to use nitrogen

Looks like an Altaros or Rocket booster PCP booster.
Ti's but it's homemade, what's not to like 🙂
It will use a shop compressor for work on the main piston from the controller on the right.
The gas (air/N2/H2) supplied to the HP piston is boosted to any pressure desired.

March 12, 2021 at 7:11 pm LinkWell my calculations were a little off ! I used a 6" drive cylinder and a 1 1/4 driven cylinder with 300 psi of nitrogen on the input. of the driven cylinder and using 170 psi on the drive cylinder it stalls at 2500 psi i !! Im going to sleeve the driven down to 1" and see what happens

March 29, 2021 at 9:49 am LinkI guess you cannot raise the pressure of the drive cylinder any more?

Past 170psi is a hard bargain on a standard shop compressor!

April 6, 2021 at 8:12 am LinkI am making a sleeve and a new piston to make the high pressure bore from 1.250 to 1.00! I am going to loose volume BUT should be able push the 1.00 piston!

Not that it is a easy thing to do but if it works you could always make a longer stroke.

April 7, 2021 at 10:41 am LinkI would need a longer low pressure cylinder then! The dimensions were kind of an educated guess and i was pretty happy with the results! Its not a big deal to sleeve it down
