Air Arms Where Art Thou???

After about a year of sitting in the gun safe, I took out my .177 510 today. Looking at the gun with real blueing and real checkering, made me remember why I bought this gun in the first place. The gun is really nice, more like my powder guns. As for a sporter gun It's design is the way I want it. Design aside...... I wish it was quieter. For a .177 it is louder than my other .22 rifles and closer to my .25s. Also it has no regulator. If aftermarket companies can make them fit so could AA. My TX200 springer is the best looking sporter I have with even more blueing and the fishtail grip is beautiful.
The following is just my .02 cents. So what the title eludes to is this...... I would buy another up to date gun in a heartbeat. The company has shown over the years the quality in their guns. I think AA needs to step into this decade though. They have teased us with the Galahad, but that is it. Maybe they just want to sell to the sub 12 fte community. Even watching Matt's videos on AA's recent guns, he eludes that AA needs to step up and compete. At one time Matt was their biggest cheerleader. We don't even give them much discussion on the forums anymore. When I google AA most of the discussion is from pre 2012.
I think they are being left behind by some of the more innovative brands right now. I'm prepared to buy, when AA is ready sell me something from this changing/growing era. Keep making your classic stye guns, but also offer a modern bottle gun. Possibly on the lines of the Wolverine or Royale with a good shot count. I'm not the biggest bullpup fan but many are.

well said// im not sure how long ago the owner past,, what ive read on him , he was a great man,,,i seen matts vids and comments too..aa stocks are beautiful,,, the bluing second to none,,as youve said,,, they do seem to be being left behind ,,they should be able to provide us with up to date products ..but seem to hold still bsa is another i would like to see more options from ,,,, not just put out a product,,to say look something new,,, but quality options something that makes you say,,,well i got to have one of those,,,

i been looking at one but I have one bullpup and they arent the best on the bench. Matt didnt like the lever and the reg didnt seem top notch. Add to that thats its heavy ugly and loud.... yea.

ps. heavy might not be a bad thing but you know, on a pup thats supposed to be used in the field it is.

question is then,

Fx streamline or this? nm bought a streamline .22 :D

I have 2 air arms and love them.
I have the Ultimate Sporter in .22 and the Prosport in .22.
The finish on the Prosport is incredible, it is as good as anything out there.
The Ultimate Sporter is just as nice and shoots beautifully.
Just shot my U.S. at our local bench rest match Saturday and a guy stopped by and admired it for a while.
This group is full of RAWs, Thomas's, Daystates, and FX's and he stopped by to see the A.A.

I agree it would be fantastic if they would update the gun.
I think a crossbreeding between my Ultimate Sporter and my friends BSA R10 would produce a gun no one could ignore.
Give it a full floating barrel like the HFT500 with a real moderator, carbon bottle, and fully regulated.

To extend my thoughts of how nice the fit and finish is, I have had 2 FX's and they are no where near as nicely made as an Air Arms.

My Air Arms S510 Xtra Carbine is my go to Gun for rabbits, grouse and squirrels, but I have to agree that Air Arms has been falling behind Daystate and FX in terms of innovation.

I would love to see a new Air Arms weapon with some innovation, but I don’t want them to abandon what makes Air Arms special. Ie. Fantstic wood, perfect bluing and attention to detail. Maybe new Carbon Fibre high pressure tanks and new regulator technology in an Air Arms S610?

yes this is my airarms s510 30th limited edition. I love it love the looks. nothing quite like it in the air gun world.. but the new aa le looks terrible.. looks like something from a care bears show all pink and every thing. omg yuk and would not but it at half price

nl thank you.. I love it.... but I have a strong dislike for the new le they came out with.

and yes air arms need to come out with a new bottle gun with a good reg in it.
and i would buy it over a daystate any day..
the build quaity in an s510 is amazing... far above the mrod and yes even daystate.

come on air arms get us a bottle gun with a proper reg in it.. and yes we will but it.

my above s510 can do an inch at 100 yards. ive done it.
so the accuracy is there
