I noticed a post looking for an air arms Springer. I happen to have one in beautiful condition. So I thought I would do a post. The quality of the finish on the rifle is absolutely fantastic. Blueing is incredible. The walnut Tyrolean stock is fantastic with extremely sharp what looks like hand cut checkering.

And the rifle can shoot. Trigger is two-stage and a little mushy at the end. But I still managed this five shot group at 40 yds shooting at the neck, Not the kill zone.

caliber is 177, with a tip loader.

Thanks all. I’m not sure what velocity its shooting. I would expect around 11 foot pounds. At 40 yards has plenty of zing left. No idea how one would go about cleaning the barrel, and not planning to try.

I have had and still own many old Springers. Most I have never touched, as they are as near to perfect as can be, as is. Sure I’ve had a few rebuilt, if you go to one of the old-timers to have it done, it seems they can always figure out a way to make it work.

It is a beautiful old English Springer, and they absolutely do not make them like this anymore.
