AIR ARMS GALIHAD..WHAT HAPPENED?

Sso weve all seen this much anticipated. BULL PUP ..WELL at. Least weve seen photos.im baffled why they took such chances with. Unproven design concepts..its on most folks top 10 fugly list ..A.A IS KNOWN TO PRODUCE EXCELLENT QUALITY AIR RIFLES .WITH SMOOTH SIDE LEVER ACTIONS .THIS IS TOTALLY OUT THINKING .TO APPARENTLY BE INNOVATED. BIZZARE TO SAY THE LEAST I KNOW THERES MUCH MORE TO A BULL PUPS COCKING SYSTEM THAN THE TRADITIONAL. BUT WHAT THE ..PS WITH THE LACK OF INTEREST ONE WOULD THINK THAT A REDO AND CHANGES WOULD BE CALLED FOR .WITH NOTHING TO DATE ONE MUST WONDER .THOSE ARE PRETTY SMART PEOPLE WORKING THERE ...PAT. PLEASE COMMENT

I would trust the unique design and function and could live with the way it looks, as for lack of interest the FX Wildcat is a hard act to follow! These Wildcats and smooth twist barrels have "destroyed" my interest in anything else, I like trying out new and different stuff as much as anyone, but there is just NO WAY IN THE WORLD a different air gun will preform better in "my" hands. If I found a Galihad on my doorstep I would give it a home, but the FX bulpups have captured the market looks like to me.

I actually like the design. To me it’s a very good looking gun, and not fugly at all.

Where I think they failed was in both asking a premium price for a product that has awful reviews. If you look at the reviews out of PA you will see how bad they are. They also have had a poopload of them listed as refurb, meaning lots of poor QC or performance.

Then there’s the fact that just because I like it’s looks, doesn’t mean that the majority of y’all hate it.

Performance wise the main problem was(still is ??) magazine indexing. Many of the early guns were returned because magazines failed to index. All the UK-based reviews i've seen really liked the gun overall. Has AA fully addressed the mag problems? Have no info there.

I had one of the the first units supplied by PA and returned it 3 mags later because the little brass indexing bar wouldnt catch the gear on the mag properly. But those first 20 shots were unbelievable. The gun is absolute quality, very quiet, and shoulder friendly. That "innovative clocking lever" was rough and awkward too. I exchanged it for an Ultimate Sporter.

I also had a .177 Wildcat and a .30 Bobcat mk2 and they take the lead against the Galahad ever so slightly.

I actually think its a pretty decent looking bull pup ,,i would like to see maybe a little fatter shroud or bigger air tube some wasted space in between the 2,,,if AA would incorporate there proven side action lever i think the indexing issues may be solved and it could be a keeper ,,,HARD AIR MAG at the time of there review stated its the most comfortable to shoot and ergonomically friendly bull pup they tested up to there testing date, the date is confusing i got it off the test pellets shot cards,, 5 of the cards were dated 12,22,16 and 2 cards were dated 12 22 17 ,,there are some nice features that many Bull pups do not included ,like the bubble level ,a canting butt pad and the bottom rail already installed,,so im hopeful, but not holding my breath that they change it to side cocking lever and resolve the indexing issues ,that in mho may draw renewed interest from our community ,Then i think i would have to give it a try ,

nothing happened, the Galahad is far superior to most or more popular heavily marketed brands or models in build quality. the marketing is not that strong...

I agree they put too small cylinder and shroud on it but that’s all
