AGT Uragan 177 standard, Just a quick view

OK its got the 530cc Carbon fiber bottle,

I am going to ask AOA not to shoot my gun next time I buy one from them, Looks like they did 5 test shots at 20 yards and then 20 over the Chrono, But the paper is so faded that I can not read anything on it, But the barrel was very dirty, Good for AGT for putting stuff on the gun to keep rust at bay, It was shipped over the ocean, BAD for AOA shooting my gun with all the crap in it....

It came with 4500 psi in the tank went through about five magazines sighting it in, Lots of shooting but lots of checking and double checking 10 yards then 30 yards the 48 yards shooting JSB 13 gr pellets , I am happy and Impressed with the gun, Not sure the needle even moved on the gauge tank, Not sure the FPS of the pellets but later on I will check and raise the FPS up to about 940 or so the happy 177 speed, I think the hammer adjustment is on the inside of this gun, Little different than the Vulcan,,,So far this gun is super quite and no need for a LDC so I can take Donny off my speed dialer, That brings me back to the FPS and I will be testing that in the next couple of days....

This gun just drips quality, I am impressed ,

Funny you would ask that question,,,, I adjust the eye relief while holding the gun down at my side and swing it up as to make a shot , I thin adjust my scope forward or backwards ,,, As I did this today I said to myself WOW this gun feels very good standing in my hands... Its VERY well balanced, And that says a LOT coming from me,

Mike

Not to distract from the O.P., but I have to agree this platform, Uragan is an incredible off hand shooter as well as a fantastic bench gun. I currently have a .30 and .22 and a .25 on it's way. As you said, they drip of quality and very nice off hand shooters.

I have found that the accuracy only gets better the more you shoot them! What better excuse could you have to go out and enjoy the Uragan! Enjoy yours!

OK guys in order of my test FX 10.3 gr comes in second place 914 FPS

Hades 10.3 gr suck big 4 inch group at 48 yards and a quarter at 25 yards 916 FPS

JSB 10.34 The number one winner so far 914 FPS

Jsb 13 .43 Wow what a drop in FPS 790 to 800 FPS, The grouping was pretty good but the drop was like an inch at 48 yards , I am going to have to put it at 2/12 just because I do not like my 177 pellets going that slow,,, (wind)

Did not even get around testing the 16 gr JSB pellets,,,, The H/S for sure will have to be adjusted ...

I have been shooting for two days , I get the gun back out and look at the Gauge pressure 200 bar wow, The shot count just flips me out,,,,

And some one going to ask me , MIKE what's the shoot count, , Looks like its going to be 3 or four days, May change in day light savings time change,,, LOL.... I like this gun....

You'd be surprised if you did some wind testing. The 13.4 at 800 FPS drift FAR LESS than the 10.3 at 920 FPS. It has to do with the BC, not the speed...

Not sure what you’re trying to do? I’d skip it for 20 FPE Field Target and go with your most accurate pellet. In case of a tie (or close), choose the one with the better BC and less wind drift.
If you’re looking at high power .177 slugs at ranges out to 100+ yards, I’d shoot the heaviest NSA slug that is still MOA at 100 yards.
if you’re looking for extremely long distance shooting 150+ yards I’d say switch to a larger caliber.

I have not changed anything on the gun , Just out of the box, Well I did clean all the junk out of the barrel before shooting,,, I have decided to go with the 10.3 GR JSB pellets , Going to keep this gun and my Vulcan med weight 177 as if I need to shoot heavy pellets I have 22 and 25 calibers ,,,

I have taken out a few sparrows and euro doves with the Uragan and really my main prey with any of my guns is sparrows and euro doves and a few other pest birds,

BUT and there is always a but, If you like to shoot and you do get a Uragan 177 you better have a little time set aside , With a full tank 4500 PSI its going to take a while to go through 400 pellets,,,

Shooting my 177 in West Texas I am pretty lucky, I really have no wind, Or not much,,, I have a lot of African Pine trees that block up to 30 yard range , out to the 48 yard range and across the ally is 7ft tall metal fence that blocks the west wind,, I have put out three wind flags 20 yards 35 yards and 48 yards , All stay pretty calm until we have the 40 , 50, and 60 miles winds coming thru, Then I pretty well just stay inside.

Before I purchase a high power.177 just want to know if the Uragan was capable of high power and able to shoot slugs as well? The only other gun that I could think of is the wolverine hp and did not want spend the extra money for an electric gun. I already have a.25cal slug gun for over 100yds shots but I want a.177 that’s not going to be too wild fussy. I have considered the pulsar hp but I have not heard anything about them in.177 hp if the power is there.
