AGN Uragán🌪

Hey, Derrick.

Is that .30 cal. a different platform than their .25 and .22 cal. guns? Just have an idea for a hot (over 60 FPE) .22 cal. custom slug shooter. That Uragan is the only "bottle gun" that I have seen that doesn't look like a paintball gun or an unfinished concept gun to me. Curious how much power you have there.

Hello Tom,

There is the option I have (let's call it long) with the 530cc bottle in .30, .25 & .22. There is also a compact version with a 210cc bottle that is available in .22.

So to answer your question, yes, you can get the same version I have in .22 long. I have tuned a .22 long for 34 FPE and it got a crazy shot count. I mean something in the neighborhood of 90 shots (I didn't do a full shot string). With that said, I'm sure it could be tuned to shoot 50 FPE or so but that is only a guess. It may achieve 60 FPE with some messaging of the ports. I'd sure like to have one to experiment with for high power.

I would want the .30 cal. gun to down grade to a .22 cal. Just punt the barrel/ bolt ect.

I'll make the parts needed to build the gun. Just wondered if a .22 cal mag. has the same center to center and OAL as the .30 cal.

Those kind of things. Might make the build no good for me in a simple thing like OAL for the mag.

Hope that makes sense.

Thank you doc 😁

@Kdog, I haven’t looked at the manual for the Uragán. When you get it and may want to adjust, shoot me a message. We can exchange numbers and talk about it. It’s an excellent PCP. Here is a great picture and explanation from Wiseguy:

So the bottle protector/guard is made of plastic? I thought it was metal. Is there any reason that it has to be there? I never use a bipod like I see most of you guys use, and when shooting from the bench I would rather have the bottle resting on the front bag, not on that guard. Especially if it is plastic and could move.

I really like the flexible high pressure hose. I was always scared of breaking the metal one on my Colibri when adjusting the reg. That is definitely an improvement IMO.

Conceptually and in fact the Uragan is an extraordinary Air Rifle.

Very difficult to think of improvements for this rifle.

I own the 22 Cal and is my favorite one.

My Vulcan's 2 in 30 and 25 Cal are really good, but the Uragan is lighter, more comfortable to shoulder, gives more shots per fill on each caliber.

I would like AGT to make a beautiful 41" rifle with a Minelly walnut stock but with the Uragan inside. There you would have perfection in performance and the beauty of a Daystate.

Installed a Huma in my .30 Uragán this afternoon. Made a spanner wrench for accessing the regulator.

The Huma is so compact. The gained space on the Huma is used for added plenum volume. I dropped from the factory reg setting of 145 bar and have the Huma at 140 bar. Both are achieving 890 fps, with a harmonized hammer spring setting, shooting the 44.75 grainers.

Damn, tough call! And you're shooting the Hurricane in competition this Saturday. Anyone else from nearby (2 or 3 hours) shooting in the Competition? Seems like lots of guys on AGN from Texas posting lately. I know Bill (@crusher) is meeting you there and shooting his .25 Crown.

Those bench Silhouette competitions look like so much fun! And a chance to whoop up on the rim fire guys! Does it get any better than that? A clean sweep for the Hurricane! 40/40. So 60 to 100 yards, correct? You'd think the members that post about their 300 yard coke can shots would kick butt in something like that... 100 is just a chip shot, make them do it off hand! ;)
