Just curious if anyone has any info or experience with the acme machine 4-16ffp scope? From what I gather it's a Moa reticle which I prefer over the mil reticle. I can't find a lot on them which makes me think maybe they're new. For 300$ it seems like a good deal but I don't want to just give the money away if it's junk. I'd rather spend a bit more for a swfa or something and be done with it. That being said if I can get a good quality scope for half the price I'm also all for that also. I only found one post in some forum stating they used to make knockoff scopes but who knows if that's even true or not, I'm no scope expert by any means.

Have Athlon Talos btr 4-14x44 ffp on one of my air rifle and must say for that money I’m very happy

I think it fully depends what you are using your scope for. In general you get what you pay for. In terms of glass quality, there is lot's of good choices under $500, but when it comes to precision in tracking and reticle, they're not so good choices anymore.. again, fully depends what you using it for.

i second john’s recommendation. In fact - I have that exact scope. It’s amazing. I put it on my Impact and I can hit ANYTHING within a hundred yards easily. Dm me for details.

Please define "affordable". When I was 18, an affordable beer was 25 cents at the enlisted club. At 65, it is $2-3 depending on my mood.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Kyler as in affordable I guess I was thinking in the $300 range. I’m not against a $7-800 but I’m also not against a good deal either.
Joe I will look into the discovery scopes also, I’ve never heard of those either. My plan for this scope will be to put it on my prod for small game hunting. I would like to stick to a moa reticle but I think that’s going to be the tough part in a lower priced ffp scope. That’s kind of what caught my eye with that acme scope.
If all all else fails I’ll go back to my other plan and get the Aztec scope even though it’s a sfp.

Well after seeing your review of the discovery scope joe I decided to go ahead and buy it. It’s not the moa reticle but I can make my own range card using the mil reticle and shooting at different distances while checking points of impact. Plus edgun West sells them and I know for a fact he’s a good guy to deal with. Figure if I don’t like it I can always sell it but just being honest I never really sell anything after it’s paid for.

Making videos is a hoot . The thing to me that's GREAT is also you can see the reticle on lowest power ...Some FFP scopes you can't .

I’ll surely do that. I am planning on buying the rusbear scope cam setup in the near future also and plan on using it on a lot of my small game hunts, mainly squirrel. I will get it installed and let everyone know what I think as soon as I get it. Thanks again.

I got the discovery scope in yesterday. I haven’t had a chance to get in installed but just holding it and looking through the reticle it seems like it’s going to be a nice scope as long as it holds up. The turrets turn nicely and the clicks can both be heard and felt. The reticle and glass are both nice and clear. Once I get it on something and have some shots through it I’ll give some updates for those who are curious about these scopes.

I purchased the Discovery HI 4-14x44SF SRF FFP MOA directly from Discovery (ALIEXPRESS), on sale with their 26% off mobile deal. Oredered on 7/2 arrived 7/11. Love the gunmetal grey finish, very nice scope. Haven't mounted it yet, it came with free rings but they sent Picatnny instead of the 11MM dovetail I requested, sent message to them and they are sending replacement rings, they seem very eager to please. I don't have any "expensive" scopes to judge it against but price was right and along with JoeR's review I decided to give them a try.
