Those cheap gun safes may keep your kids safe but they are easy to pry open by the average burglar. If your kids safety is all your worried about they are fine I might even get one to store ammo . If you do get a safe lag bolt it to the floor and if possible get one that’s 10 gauge thick anything more than 12 gauge is easy to get into just look at the videos on YouTube

"Rodeo"There are more secure gun safes out there but higher security costs more $$. The comparable model at my local Dick's Sporting Goods is $219. This is a decent deal. Having something is better than nothing. With that said, heading home with one now.

Just remember to bolt it in all 4 corners to your floor otherwise it becomes simple to drag it out of your house with a hand truck
