AF Condor Repair

If it's leaking from top hat this could be the reason. Not a hard fix if you are mechanical inclined and have proper tools.

Shambozzie is correct. It’s an easy fix. To determine where the leak is coming from, test with diluted soap. If it’s coming out of the top hat, it’s the black part Shambozzie shows and AF calls that part a delrin seat. 90% of the time, this is where the leak originated. What happens is, when you fire the gun, the top hat pushes the delrin seat away from the bottom of the brass bonnet then the seat slams back into the edge of the bottom of the bonnet, thus cutting a ridge into the seat over time.
if it’s leaking from the area where the top hat stem protrudes from the bonnet, it’s the orings in the bonnet.
AF can also provide you with the parts.

if you decide to do the work, the tools I are a automotive interior panel removal tool to lift the tophat to prevent damage to the tophat stem. Don’t mar the stem. You’ll just create another point of leakage.

i use a small chisel with a tip that fits perfectly in the bonnet top to unscrew it from the bottle. I also use a box end wrench (I don’t recall the size. Maybe 7/16”?) on the chisel to provide leverage when removing. And you will more than likely have to clamp the bottle in a vice to hold it when removing. I’m sure there are other ways to accomplish this task, this is just the way that has worked for me.
