Done much reading and thought I'd just bring this over here.

New AF 24" condor has giving me a fit on the swap from .20 to .25.

I had a bad barrel in .25 to start with. That was replaced. The. 25 seems more sensitive than the. 20 and or .22.

Ring loc set up running now in . 25 with the. 232 tophat. My issue is the poi. Nothing super bad and nothing like the bad barrel.

At times a holer at 30 yards. Not had the chance to stretch it out as I did in .20. The. 20 @ 50 and out was a tac driver.

In my reading I have found that in 1 article or vid that the condor is not a precision rifle but a power house hunting killer. Another talked about the frame flexing and the scope rail plus mentioned the double bounce by design of the forward hammer and the rear valve.

In my dress I made another firearm as I did in my Talon As to a .22 condor. After reading of the flexing and any pressure on the receiver/ frame I noticed my mod was indeed crowding the tube. Put all the factory hand grip and forearm back in the gun. Poi did change and was able to find + 5- 10 shot groups.

Ordered the AF tactical rail to give the scope rail and frame more Ridgid. On install of the rail I noticed as I sled the tactical rail on that as it got close to the rear it got tight? Removed it and checked the scope rail for being straight. And it was at least flat on top. I did not check for any twist. 8ve used these tactical rails in other AF guns and never noticed this and even on 1 AF that had been dropped and bent the rail. I straightened the rail and the tactical sled right on with not tight spots.

I've adjusted my adj but pad for good scope focal and running the SWFA 12x scope. Played with the gripping of the gun and found in the . 25 it tacks a very light hold. Running a level to maintain a level shot.

Tried the 35 gr pellets that shot good and gave accuracy and 84 fpe.

But after the tactical rail I could not get the 35 gr back as it was?

Tested the H&N 30 barracuda and as before another holer if I do my part.

Again in .20 with my dress and same scope as good Of a shooter imo as my sold RAW HM1000 .20. BUT SO far the Condor will not out shoot my Theobin rapid .25 MKII. It will out power it but not shoot as good or say as effortless as the MKII.

35gr are shooting @ 1040 fps power wheel on 10 and .232 ring love.

So question is:

Anyone else find the condor in .25 more sensitive?

Is the Condor considered a precision shooter?

Is the Condor subject to flexing?

IS it just me?

Thanks

After I installed the rail and the tri rail the gun has no flex.....see the pic with rail on mine
