I read where a solid bushing was used. Being removing material to make the brass bushings work I am trying this.

May be a waste in effort but its a test. I'm sure someone will comment? Maybe not?

The barrel is a semi floating barrel. The talon tunes moderator does not touch the barrel at the frame.

This set up will not flex but harmonics may suffer?💀 The bench will tell all.

Thanks

Gun benched and shooting out of the shop. Poi shifted not much from the stock change and reposition of the scope.

The new TT Heavy hammer spring w/o and power cranked in is harder to cock vs the factory spring loaded with the wheel.

Fit and feel of the stock is great. The gun is dead on so far at 30 yards. Report is as loud or a bit louder than before.the hammer spring change.

Can't tell and difference in the TT trigger spring change.

I.will say in the new stock i am.hearing a resonance from the free floating bottle. I was told on.the raptor stk that some have had this noise. Easy.fix but it is for sure a new sound. The gun being in this stock is not as i play hold sensitive. Be it the stk or the bushings. H&N 31.02 Baracudas again perform. Very happy so far with the work.

Last post on an almost finished project. I've shared my work and experience and have to say pleased with the results so far.

There is more shared on my JUNKYARD AIRGUNS forum for any interested.

A solid built ending with accurate results. TT heavy hammer spring on thus newest condor gave more power with 0 power wheel setting. To much power really. More testing with ring loc th sizes will come.

1105 fps H&N 31 gr baracuda

1005 35 gr Seneca

Power, accurate, solid frame and a great fit and feel. Hugh improvement IMO💀

Thanks and hope someone can benefit from this project. Nt☠

Said last post but added the extra upper frame rail.

The thing has to be solid now like a rock.💀

Rail is Matt blk now vs the picture. Blended in well.

Curved adj butt pad has been change to the adj morgan flat pads The lower curve was in the way. Canted the pad which allowed a better cheek weld and eye to scope.

That's all this time. NT☠

THANKS FOR LOOKING‼🦃

Well hate to continue this I think my method will give the same results. The bedding and the WG plus all the other add one will give a strong base.

Finished off the stock with the removal and some more touch ups on the bed. Plus added my grip wrap to areas.

43gr pellets are here. Cold day with high winds so no beech testing. But this gun shot the 43 gr well before all the changes.

This grip wrap is some very good stuff. I've Got this on many guns . Not expensive and provides a soft non slip area.

The flat butt pad worked out much better than curved. Total different gun now. All thinking outside the box.

Thanks all‼💀

Hard to tell. Really added 3 and the wider brass inter and outer o rings. All and all I have what I feel is a stiff framed gun. Wokguard is a good add on as many have stated. The MD stock is another good fix.

Bedded as mine is with the stock and both tactacal rails the gun is solid.

No pressure on the bottle IMO is better for the power for the power level in .25.

Flex has been mentioned by many. I di not feel in the smaller calibers its not as critical or noticed. All JMO.

I JUST know in the Talon .22 condor upgrades that gun had power and extreme. Accuracy. The New Condor starting out as a .20 again power and accuracy and neither suggested Flexing and for the most both with factory dressing.

The Talon on the barrel change from .22 to .25 took the caliber with no issues but did not have the power of the new condor. Both frames close in design. Condor has an extra scope rail post.

All I can say is at this time I'm happy with all the build. Is all this an over kill? +-

The barrel bushings do change the simi floating barrel design? On a second Thought on my choice of positioning I could have closed the bushing spacing which IMO might have kept the floating barrel theory more true. I do like floating barrels and the 16mm LW barrel is still a good floater in 24" and in many guns have much less install depth. Example for 2 are the Raw/ Theoben. Both are floating and can be flexed by hand.💀

All JMO‼☠

Seems as this item would have benefit. I thought on some of the accessories offered. I've stumbled on to the floating bottle by some being an issue. Indeed with my set up the bottle will move with side play. Taking little effort for it to move and yes the bottle is tight.

Seems Mad Dog offers their stock with the option of a floating bottle or a fixed bottle? Report is that a firm cheek weld against the bottle pushes the poi off. It's hard to imagine that over the many years of this design this is a problem. but when stepping out of the box on stock configs It is possible to create issues.

I thought the free floating bottle was the way to go but I have looked hard at this now. I have gone back and checked all my bedding and found a good full contact that also beds the WOKGUARD.

I HAVE now supported the bottle in 4 areas. Supported near the bottle attachment for up and down and under the bottle on the front area close to the front cheek rest area and the at the rear most area behind the cheek rest. All a padded type material. Saddles on both lower bottle to stock. I have no bottle movement. Just another test.

Update:

For those interested I have decided to go with a slug barrel on this gun. I have a 24" .25 choked barrel coming that I will be chopping the choke out and reface the barrel. Now is the time on the crown type? An 11 degree has been mentioned? Also a 0 degree? I am estimating losing maybe and Inch on the chop. Should not be but around a 10+- FPS DROP?

Received the Hunter supply 49gr slugs yesterday. I will be testing them out of the choked barrel soon.

As to the last bottle stabilizing I have seen no bad affects on POI.

I was told that the HS pellets are the old RCBS pellets. I am not familiar with these. Not had time to really inspect them. They appear to have a nice finish and design. We have many choices on slugs in .25. These are advertised as a .253 size vs some I have seen that are .250 and others sizes.

The SENECA pellets are advertised as .250 but the few I checked were much larger. The are a very tight fit on the loading. Nasty lubed and much loose lead on the pellets and slivers of lead on the bottom of the tin. Several had irregular heads and head sizes to large to fit. But the better ones do shoot good at 50+ yards. This was just 1 tin out of 3 that so far have been like this. They are the old EUN JINS re named.

Time will tell and I will gladly post my results here. 💀
